Staff who answer the phone can be really, really rude
I got hooked up with Sleep Disorders Center of Alabama place through my previous internist years ago. I have a lot of peeves about this business, but my biggest one is that I will set an appointment a year in advance, then they’ll call me a month before the appointment and push it back 2 to 4 months.
The one time they changed my appointment date to a day I couldn’t come, the person who answer the phone told me the next available date was another 3 months (from mid November into Mid-February) later.
I have been moved from one doctor to another to get reasonable appointment dates,and after years of me loyally coming here.
I am now scheduled to see a physician’s assistant, not even a real doctor for my dollars.
Up front, they are really welcoming, but after a few years, they will move you to second class service.
The front office staff who answer the phone can be really, really rude. Buyer beware.
