Sierra Endocrine Associates Medical

The staff is not friendly

My first visit was great Dr Makhija explained her treatment plan and was informative.

She declined to run labs and was using labs that were performed 1 year ago.

She prescribed the highest of medication that I have ever been on since diagnosis.

I agreed since I believed she would be able to help me feel better.

Two weeks into the change of dose I was having awful symptoms almost as if I were overdosing.

I called and spoke to her medical assistant whom came off as arrogant and rude.

She told me she would leave a message for the Dr and she may or may not get back to me that day.

I also asked her for a separate medication to which we had a discussion hoping for some relief of symptoms.

The medical assistance returned my call late the next day changing the dose to the very same I had previously so I was back at square one. Again, dr didn’t want to perform lab work.

About a month later I seen the dr for a follow up. I had explained to my husband how happy I was to find an endo who seemed to listen to what I needed.

Upon walking into the room her first question was “How are you feeling”, I replied “tired” she immediately snapped at me with “I changed the dose because you requested and I believe your fatigue it’s a greater issue” the whole time she was explaining her reasoning she kept pointing to her head almost insinuating it was all psychological.

I informed her I took the second medication she suggested with no results, she told me I was not going to feel any different with that medication… she only gave it to me because I asked., ok so why prescribe it then? The dr was rude seemed irritated and annoyed.

She made me feel uncomfortable. I explained that I felt better with another medication and she boldly told me she doesn’t prescribe that medication to go back to my primary care physician.

I felt this was a big waste of time. She gave me false hope and didn’t listen to any of my concerns.

If you want a dr to make you feel as if your crazy and all of your symptoms are in your head this place is for you. The staff is not friendly.

I waited over 4 months to see a Dr who did nothing for me but bill my insurance the highest possible rate for a 4 minute degrading lecture.

If you need an endo who will take the time to help you and treat you with the best possible plan consider your options very carefully if you go here.

  1. Your front desk staff need a class in customer service and compassion.

I am a patient of Dr. Esai, he takes his time going over my medical reports, and asking questions re: my meds, any questions or issues etc. But his staff is not very cooperative, they are lazy.

When doctor put me on medical leave. The secretary states she cannot fax my work any information. She is rude, basically we the patient have to do all their work. Then the office staff called me and advised me Dr. Esai released me back to work.

But they would not fax over the medical release to my employer? What nonsense is that. That’s just the height of laziness. I gave her the fax numbers!

And yes I work with the public too. They need to be compassionate and caring. I understand that your receptionist may have bad days too. Yes I realize it is difficult at times, but its not about you! Its all about the patients and their needs. If you truly do not care about the patient, then maybe you don’t belong there. Your front desk staff need a class in customer service and compassion.

  2. Not a friendly environment.

Worst service ever.. Not a friendly environment. Why are they still open?
