Shore View Nursing and Rehabilitati...

This place is horrible

This place is horrible. The nursing staff is rude and incompassionate. Im getting my mom out of here before the damage is irreversible. .. everyday I have to call and complain the staff.. I feel so bad for the elderly residents, their family probably have no idea that they comitted them to the house of horror…

the brochure and the reviews areall false advertisement. I’ve never been so disappointed in a place.. my mom just survived cancer and I hope she will survive this. I awaiting a transfer. I must say the ohysical therapy staff is good.

  1. We couldn't be happier with the care he has received and are truly grateful.

My grandfather was admitted here after my grandmother passed & he had a bad fall. Needless to say, it was a tough time for everyone especially him but Shore View made the process as painless as possible. We couldn’t be happier with the care he has received and are truly grateful.

  2. I broke my leg during a party and was taken to NYP Brooklyn hospital.

I broke my leg during a party and was taken to NYP Brooklyn hospital. The nurse at the hospital recommended me this nursing home. When I entered the building I had mixed feelings due to reviews I read online. But within a week I started seeing difference in my condition. I stayed for 3 weeks and it was more like a vacation for me. The food was not bad and the best part was they had lot of programs and activities to keep you occupied.

  3. It's a horror.

These other reviewers must have been paid to write reviews. Do not send your loved one here. My father was here after a fall and they treated him like a dog. He was in an arm cast and couldn’t get up to go to the bathroom. They would leave him in the room in the wheelchair away from the call button.

Left him in dirty clothes, didn’t give him his motrin for pain when he kept calling the nurse at night. We got him out of there after a week. It’s a horror.

  4. I highly recommend this facility to everyone who need quick recovery after unforeseen illness.

My mom is in Shore View rehabilitating center now after surgery. I must say it was the best decision that we made after her surgery. From an Admission office to nurses, everyone treats residents with respect and dignity. My mom feel like she is at home away from home.

The rehab facility on top floor is immaculate, clean and modern. Food that is given to residents is above average. I highly recommend this facility to everyone who need quick recovery after unforeseen illness.

  5. Nurses and cna are very helpful,

When my mother got into the hospital with pneumonia and was very wick, I knew I couldn’t take her home. I did not know which rehabilitation facility to choose. But my neighbors told me to go to Shore View.

Nurses and cna are very helpful, if my mom needed something they were in her room right away. Physical and occupational therapy team is so professional, my mom walked out from this rehabilitation center on her own feet and im very thankful!

  6. Also big thanks to them for talking to me and explaining things .

I don’t usually do reviews, however, this time I feel that the nurses on 8th floor deserve to be noticed. Obviously, they are overwhelmed, but I have not seen them loose their cool under pressure. In fact I once observed Victoria sitting down with an elderly patient who did not want to eat and she personally fed him him like he was her own grandfather.

My father is currently under their watch. I watched them being gentle with him rewrapping his wound. Saw them patiently trying to explain to him the things that he is not allowed to do due to his condition. Trust me , I know it is not easy to deal with old people who are set in their way and think that they can do things that they did when they were 20 years old.
