Roscoe Village Family Medicine

I'm Still Extremely Upset

I had an extreme emergency to see a doctor so I drove over in construction to try to get in as soon as possible.

When I called to be sure they could take me, I was told that they couldn’t because they do not accept new patients.

I was extremely upset because when I signed up for a new doctor through BCBSIL it didn’t say that they only accept new patients.

I asked if there was any way the could make an exception this time around and they said they couldn’t.

I spoke with Dr. Lindeman who was nice and tried to help me.

He told me I did not need to wait another month to get a new doctor through my insurance which was a relief and also referred me to immediate md clinic.

I appreciate that but I’m still extremely upset that I now have NO doctor.

I wish it says no accepting new patients on their personal website and through BCBSIL.

Save new patients the hassle.

  1. My family and I have been patients for almost 10 years and we are very pleased.

The highest compliment that one doctor can pay to another is to become their patient. As a physician myself, I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Lindeman and the staff at Roscoe Village Family Medicine. My family and I have been patients for almost 10 years and we are very pleased.

  2. This is the worst.

We live right down the street from Dr. Lindeman and were SO happy to find a neighborhood doctor. Just like in the old days…keep the same doctor for the whole family for life.

But shortly after our first visit, they announced they are now turning into a “boutique” medicine shop where you must pay a $50 cover charge per month to be part of their club. We are already paying so much for insurance. Boo!!!! This is the worst.

On a positive note, my husband & I both thought he knew what he was doing, but it wasn’t so phenomenal that we’re willing to pay a monthly bill for it.

  3. Scammer

The website has a philosophy that is fantastic. What is the problem? EVERY SINGLE TIME I CALL all I get is voicemail. For several months…just voice mail. Um, I can’t schedule a first time appointment without speaking to a human being.

Once I received a return call, a woman left a message on my cell advising me they didn’t have an appointment until a few weeks away. Great, I would take that appointment except every time I call,

I get – you guessed it VOICE MAIL! I have a hard time believing a practice that cannot even answer the phone once in a while would be responsive to my family’s medical needs.

  4. He is completely unethical and violates his oath of 'first do no harm'.

I started going to Lawrence a while back when I needed a simple prescription. I had no problem with him then because he is relatively easy to manipulate and i have other drs for everything else. Time progressed and he apparently changed his policies so that you had to relinquish a credit card in order to be seen.

He never sent out a letter stating this, so you can imagine my being upset when i showed up for an appointment and he refused to see me unless i caved.

Now I’m trying to get my records from him and while he has no issues sending the records to another dr, he wants 25$ for me to pick them up. Read his privacy policy page on his website and you’ll see that he truly does not believe in sharing your medical info with you.
