Richard A Crow & Associates
Richard Crow Is A Greedy OpportunistIt is my personal opinion that Richard Crow is a greedy opportunist. I give two stars because of the single staff member he has at the front desk, who was very kind and patient.
Basically, I went through a divorce last calendar year. I knew I was going to be taxed for the entire year as if I were single status because that’s the way our crooked government likes to treat single parents.
I was stressed out about what I might owe, so a friend referred me to Richard Crow.
I dropped off my tax information and was told to expect a call in the upcoming weeks.
Well that call came to the tune of a $5,600 balance owed to the government. Going to a “professional” CPA was of no help at all.
Now, I must emphasize the fact that this is NOT why I am so dissatisfied with Richard Crow.
That is attributed solely to the nearly $500 bill Richard charged me for processing a single W2. No property. No personal businesses. No other sources of income. No spouse.
This is as basic as it gets. Turbo Tax would have been, BY FAR, the better option for me.
Richard seems to think this is worth $500. He claims that this is his “minimum” though I wasn’t informed of this until I went to pick up my taxes.
I feel robbed… twice now. I strongly suggest avoiding this firm and instead finding one that cares enough about customers.. or people in general, to disclose all fees upfront.
Find someone who has the basic morality to look over your situation and tell you honestly if their services are worth your money.
Richard is not this type of person and will eagerly take every penny he can get from you.
