Reliance First Capital

This Company is A Fraud

Reliance First Capital is a fraud as Sam said. I dealt with them for over one year thinking I was approved for a refinance at a lower rate.

Every day I contacted them I was told I would close in 30 days. They attempted to make me not pay my mortgage on time by saying we will close in 30 days and we have a payoff.

Then I would contact them a few days prior to the closing and no answer or they would state they needed additional information for my credit file.

It went on for months. Then I filed a complaint with the manager West who said I will take over and followup.

He was worse. Same games and lies. They are a fraud. Do not deal with them.

They will attempt to worsen your credit report, ask for credit card info for appraisal costing 400$ dollars or more.

Then no refinance. Be very careful!

  1. Questionable business practices and unwillingness to resolve after several efforts with them

Company runs Credit History without approval. They state it would be a soft inquiry and the run a hard hit. The apologize and state they will resolve the matter, but never do. Then they think it is ok to continue calling me, trying to sell me on their product. They prove they aren’t trustworthy and should be avoided like the plague. How bad would it have gotten if I actually got a loan from these folks.

  2. Awful customer

If you work with this company an you receive a mortgage broker by the name of Kenneth Watson request another person to handle your loan inquiry I received horrible customer service from Kenneth Watson. He was unresponsive, unknowledgeable regarding his job, said he had me mixed up with another customer with my name that also resided in my state. Never read/ acknowledged emails, on numerous occasions stated he would call me back but days later heard nothing. I should’ve read the reviews before starting to work with this company but I will be adding to the reviews now so hopefully someone else won’t waist their time.

  3. Escrow and Customer Service ( Lack off)

Be aware that no help does nothing Customer Service and their Escrow Scam. I changed homeowners insurance at the end of the policy year. I called and was directed to another dept. (Two months before the policy was to renew they pulled payment from my escrow account) The new carrier has also billed and paid promptly) The representative I’m talking with says we’ll try to stop the prior check to the previous page, but we can’t find out if when where it’s at nothing.

This goes on for three weeks can’t find the record, and they keep directing me to insurance. Finally, someone emails me and gives me a check number and where and who cashed it. I get a refund check and call again misdirected to some dept or 3rd party. I called, and I finally talked to a representative after complaining. How do I return? They tell me to use online payment. I do. I go into their site to confirm my return escrow is scheduled for price. Now in my inbox is a love letter notification; they want over 1300 dollars negative escrow, and my payment moves to over 150 dollar increase per month.

Sir, this whole matter should have been handled by customer service. You’ve been in the wrong dept. Customer service told me when I first called a month ago. She tells me you must use the right words to get assistance or flip you to another dept. I asked why she didn’t. Didn’t use the words, Escrow Fund. Now back to customer service and here’s the scam.

They scheduled re-evaluation of Escrow because I had the 1200 refund check even though payment is on their system to return and then have the nerve to tell me unless I pay them another 182 dollars payment stays at over 150 dollars a month increase got all my money. I call that Voo-doo math. When you tell me you can’t find the check record or direct me to the proper department even though I used an offensive term instead of Escrow. My initial call was enough to get the situation corrected.

It wasn’t complicated. I was proactive. I wouldn’t deal with these folks again. Everything is electronically driven. They don’t like to talk to customers.. Talk through your phone, even during loan processing, all electronic media. You got to watch these folks because they lie also… A year ago I called and was flat out lied too. The relationship is now tainted forever. Find a new lender. If you’re a customer, watch your Escrow closer than your checkbook. They want your money to use free of charge.

  4. This is the worst company to deal with. False promises, delays and costs charged for appraisal. Then “forgot” to lock in promised rate; followed by more promises, but nothing . Contact me for possible class action lawsuit! [email protected]

  5. Text messages

All the sudden out of no where, not looking for a mortgage, I started receiving messages from this company. No thanks..

  6. 5 Star Service

Leslie couldn’t have been more professional. This is the second time she helped my wife and me bettering our mortgage. She was available when I needed. She laid out several options that ensured we got what we felt work best for us.
We appreciated her so much, we asked her to help our son. She showed him the same professionalism she showed us.
I couldn’t ask for anything more.

  8. Beware these MISOGYNIST CROOKED SCAMMERS!

We first did a refinance in 2018 to lower our percentage from 6 percent on our home. Neither my husnand who is a disabled veteran nor myself had any understanding of banking so we were gullible, it took forever for them to get the refinance done but we finally closed. Now rake into consideration I found the house in 2000 and bought it. I WAS the first name on the title, deed and mortgage along with my husband now unbeknownst to my husband nor I they took my name completely off the mortgage of my own home. We did a streamlune with them in 2020 and after going to my personal banker at our credit union it was explained to me that the title, deed and mortgage are separate. My husband is in very poor health and they knew that but took my name off my own hime mortgage anyway. My name was on the mortgage for 15 years and now it is not. I am afraid for my future of owning my home because of these crooks. I know in my heart if things had been reversed thry woukd have NEVER taken my husbands name off the mortgage of his own home because he is a man. Beware these unorganized, no phone call returning for days, paperwork losing, ball dropping, lying about you getting 2 months payment free crooks!!!

  9. Don't do it!

Don’t do it. We were promised a home loan on our house that we own out right. We did everything to get prepared for this 100% sure thing, including charging up credit cards to make some improvements then had the house appraised. The day before we were to close, the underwriters shut it down due to COVID-19(so we were told). Our agent told us that we could go for a conventional loan instead and she’d even help us complete our 2019 taxes. I worked on our taxes all weekend and called her when it was done so she could go over it with me(like she promised). She wouldn’t answer our calls/texts or return them. We were able to reach her finally and she promised this loan was a 100% sure thing again and we’d close in about a week and a half. We gave her a couple of days, no call, we called/texted her without response. She finally texted back that she was so busy, but is working on our loan and give her time. The next day we received loan documents in the mail that didn’t make sense, we hadn’t even discussed numbers with her at this point. Still she wouldn’t call us, or answer calls/texts for a whole week. My husband finally spoke with her supervisor, who told him we didn’t get approved because his credit score was too low due to credit card debt. Mind you, we had just maxed out cards to do work on the house so we could get the first loan… What she was selling sounded so good, but let me tell ya.. it’s not worth the hassle. Go somewhere else. They did refund us for the appraisal immediately. That was the only good thing about dealing with them though.
