I ordered a pair of shoes from this website, Popjulia. I had no idea that the products were shipped from China or I would have never opted for it. It is very difficult to ship back the items to another country when the products aren’t satisfactory. However, I did not know that and I ordered from this website.
When I received the shoes, one of them was faulty. The strap was too short to connect to the other end. Moreover, the sole of the shoe was completely withered. When I checked the same, I tried to contact the customer care number. Whatever times I called these guys, I was thrown to an automated message that told me to contact the service care number which I was already talking to.
This gone for couple of times when I decided to email them the pictures of the item sent. I mailed them the complaint and the photos of the defected shoe. They replied me after a week asking me to take 30% refund or 40% store credit. Or, they asked me to send back the shoe back to them for full refund.
I did the last thing. I sent them back the shoe. I had purchased the shoe for my wife as a Christmas present. When I sent the item back, I did not get any updates for three months. Finally, I received back the shoes that I sent three months back. It was with the customs and no one ever came to pick those up. I spend $100 for $60 shoes. I was already down with $60.
When I emailed these guys about the issue, they again offered me the same options. They said that I could either take 30% refund or 40% store credit. What a scam? Why would I settle for 30% refund when the shoes were not even in a condition to be mended? Moreover, a 40% store credit would do no good to me. As I am never going to buy anything from this store.
And, I was also not going to spend another $100 for sending back the shoes. This would have been even worse. I knew I would have lost those bucks as well. So, I decided not to accept any offer and rather contact paypal to highlight the problem.
Paypal gone through every information that I shared and decided to pay back $60. This was quite a relief. However, I lost $100 because of the problems that Popjulia put me through. I am never going to order from this website ever again. I was scammed. I checked reviews and there were many similar reviews from other customers too.
The company sends the defected items and then convinces to accept not even half of the amount. This is a fraud and not an e-commerce company. I would suggest everyone not to order from this company. I waited for months and tried to contact them by all means. I failed at everything and that is when I decided to contact Paypal. Or else, my money would have never been refunded.
