Peachwood Medical Group

I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT

Sad to say, but Peachwood Medical Group only gets one star, and that is because I could not put zero stars.

I have been a patient at Peachwood Medical Group since I was a teenager, I’m now almost 40.

They used to have great service and waiting times, but since their company has let go of all of their older staff that got paid higher wages just to hire new staff fresh out of school at lower wages, well it is simply not the same.

I’m all for giving those who are new grads a chance at learning and working but when you take out all of your senior staff at once, well it’s a recipe for disaster.

So here is my review.

I would say about 2017 is when I noticed a red flag with Peachwood’s PA, Jennifer Nay.

She is a really fast paced Physician who really doesn’t let you get a word in to explain your ailments, and that’s when she’s not cutting you off when you do get to talk.

I had been trying to let her know about my issues and I kept getting interrupted by her so I would forget my train of thought.

So when I finally did remember, it was just before I was about to leave and I guess when she was done with me that I recalled my issue and she all but bit my head off about it.

She had actually told me that when she walked out to get my printouts, that was the end of my visit and I can’t just bring up another issue because that was the end of the visit.

When she said that to me I was left in utter shock. I seriously almost cried right there in the office because of how upset she was.

I didn’t even get to tell her my issue so I got chewed out for nothing and just shut up after that. Of course, I cried on the way out to my car and on the way home.

I gave her the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to the fact that maybe she’d had a bad day, or maybe she had a previous patient who was difficult with her and caused her to be this way to me…I don’t know to be honest.

But I forgave her and forgot about it afterward. I didn’t really want to go back to Peachwood after that unless I absolutely needed to.

So now, this is my more recent experience, as it was just a couple of days ago.

My appointment was at 2:45 PM and I waited in their waiting room for about 2 hours until I was called back to the exam room just to have to wait another half hour to 45 minutes or so.

When she finally came in, she briefly looked at her computer and asked me what was wrong with my arm, and I was like not my arm but my entire body as I had stated to the MA who took my vitals prior to her coming in.

She then questioned me some more and gave some smart remarks when I would say something, and that I can take, but when she started talking down to me.

And said she was sorry for sounding like an asshole but that she was only being truthful…well, I was left in shock once again and really hurt.

She continued to be an “asshole” as she stated, for the remainder of my visit, which was not only unpleasant but very uncomfortable.

Then she began to make comments on my personal life when it was clearly none of her business, and not at all a part or reason for my visit.

Even after al of this, it’s still not the worst part. It gets worse.

When I had mentioned to her my reason for seeing her I told her it was kind of a long story but it was necessary for her to know it, her response to me left me with my mouth open.

She told me that she didn’t have time for a long story because she had to go to her Taekwondo class or something and she only had 15 minutes to get me out the door basically.

I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Especially after waiting almost 3 hours just to see her!

And she had the audacity to cut my time short because of her personal life?! Really?

Well I can well and truly say that she has lost her compassion for being a doctor.

She no longer cares for her patients in my opinion.

So if you want to cry all the way home just as I did once again because my Physician told me off, belittled me, and offended me in so many ways.

Please be my guest…but don’t say that I did not warn you!

  1. No way. And it is a shame because it is such a handy thing having everything under one roof.

I am giving it two stars because their Urgent Care is wonderful. My doctor and his staff are so bad that I am now searching for a new doctor. My doctor seemed OK – his staff seemed young and rude. I can deal with young, rude medical assistants but I cannot deal with the lack of follow-through or communication.

My doctor was to send me to a specialist or for tests but it never would happen. I would call to find out when I would be seeing the specialist only to find that nothing had been done.

Too much. If I continued with this medical group I would have to continually follow up to be sure that they were following up. No way. And it is a shame because it is such a handy thing having everything under one roof.

  2. Never Again

Go to a real hospital with real doctors who care about you.

  3. I cannot believe this Pediatric Office

I cannot believe this Pediatric Office, We have been taking our two young children here for 3-4 years, now unfortunatly our Insurance has been cancelled and we had to get on CAL-VIVA. I made an appointment for my son when we got there, they refused to see him due to not being able to verify the Ins.

So when I returned home I contacted Cal Viva to straighten it out, so I rescheduled came in today, they for some reason could not verify the Ins. So sent us away for a second time, my son is very ill. I came home again and contacted Cal Viva a second time.

They contacted Mary in the Pediatric Dept at Peachwood, she informed the Rep at Cal-Viva that My children’s Dr. Dr Hubbard is only taking Infants. Even though we are patients of hers, and have been seeing her for several years. I contacted this Mary and brought it to her attention, that we are patients of Dr Hubbards and have been for over 3 years,

she proceeded to let me know she would have to ask Dr Hubbard if she is willing to still take my kids as patients. That is so upsetting, due to our Ins change, and they do infact take Cal-Viva. I really do not want to even take my children to that awful Dr Office anymore if this is how they treat their patients.

  4. This place is awful! Unfair treatment toward their patients.

This place is awful! Unfair treatment toward their patients. I attempted several times to schedule an appointment for my two year old to recieve her flu vaccine, and I was denied each time. I was told that the vaccine hadn’t arrived yet and to call next week.

However, a friend took her son for his illness to the same place, and the doctor offered the flu shot on the spot. My friend was able to make an appointment for her other son too, who was not sick. Immediately, I called back, heard the same speech from the receptionist, so demanded to speak with the supervisor.

Tammy, the supervisor, admitted that the flu vaccine is in, but only a small amount which is the reason for not opening a flu shot clinic for my daughter’s age group. She says that they are giving the shot to the “high risk” patients with asthma and other illnesses only.

Bottom line, they are lying to me every time I call. All children under five are “high risk” for getting the flu. They are denying a service that I feel is crucial for my daughter to recieve during”flu season”. Peachwood needs to get their act together, and give ALL patients equal opportunity to recieve the same service.

  5. Bad customer service.

I love Dr Smith. She’s very nice but their phone manners are horrible. I’m always on hold for at least 20+ minutes. They need a proper receptionist for making appointments and then one for other assistance. Bad customer service.

  6. I do not recommend going

All in all, it took them nearly three hours for the doctor that was working with me, who was also not very exceptional either, to come to the conclusion that there was essentially nothing wrong with me.

She then blamed the medication I was taking to be the issue, and sent me on my way with no advice to ease the intense chest pain I was feeling.

  7. Worst EVER

After repeated requests to give me the info on the phone, she was adamant that it could not be done. I told her i was not willing to pay yet another co-pay, and have them bill my insurance for another office visit if there wasnt a problem, but i was MORE than willing to go back IF there was a problem i needed to know about.

After telling me that they dont make appts just to charge the ins company an office visit, she basically hung up on me before i was done speaking. She phoned me back 2-3 days later and told me the results showed i had to watch my sugar because i was still pre-diabetic and that my liver was a little inflamed due to my smoking so to slow down on smoking.

  8. Given two attempts and getting the same results I will not be visiting this facility again.

The wait is long, the doctors are not personable just down to business as usual. The receptionist seemed annoyed that I was there and needed a service which I had to repeat to her twice for her complete understanding. Peachwood you need to do better. Given two attempts and getting the same results I will not be visiting this facility again.

  9. Bad Service.

I have been a patient of Peachwood and Dr. Robert Guzoujian for 15 years, as has my husband. 2 weeks ago I got a letter that they were kicking us out of the practice over an unpaid bill for $132.00 from 2015. Yes, 2015. This bill was 2 years old.

I called immediately and apologized and said I would pay it but also expressed confusion as to why I had never been told I had a balance by the front office staff at any of our visits over the last two years. I had literally just scheduled physicals for me and my husband the previous week. I was told that the front office had no connection to the billing department.

I found this odd (they always collect my deductible) but I guess that is how they do things. I also confirmed that the billing office had completely incorrect contact information despite the front office having everything correct. I told them I would pay it immediately-I have always loved Dr. G and his office. The practice manager, Sue Hays, said she would check with Dr. Guzoujian and get back to me.

  10. DO NO HARM!!!! THAT IS YOUR OATH!!!!

If I could give you less than zero stars I would. Stay far, far away from Peachwood until the Board of Directors removes Judy Miramontes as one of their providers. She calls herself a doctor and took an oath “to do no harm” yet she harms each patient she see’s.

She humiliates you, does not listen or care about what you have to say, has the worst bedside manner ever (she actually has no bedside manner what so ever). She is the most horrific doctor I have ever had the displeasure of meeting.

I was interviewing her to be my new PCP and she failed miserably!!!! I would not come to you if you paid me!!!! I have filed a complaint with the Peachwood Board of Directors as Judy Miramontes is such a horrific human being that she should never be allowed to see another patient again. She is hurting patients, not helping them!!

  11. I had an extremely poor experience within the urgent care at this facility.

So negative, I felt compelled to go out of my way to write this even though my appointment was months ago. For starters, I couldn’t believe how rude the women at the front desk were acting. Towards me, and all of the patients in the waiting room.

To the point one of the woman in the back was staring at me intently with the worst look on her face as if I had did something wrong. I have no idea why. Most of the staff, not all, were standing around gossiping as I waited long periods of time to be called back. This behavior unfortunately continued even as I waited in my room.

  12. I have NEVER written a review, but this REALLY bothered me, so i have to do this!

Perhaps i will find out im not the only person that feels this way.
I started going to Dr. Amitasha Mann about 2-3 yrs ago. I have only actually seen her 2-3 times for routine check-ups. (I am a woman in my 50’s).
My first visit went well; she wanted a mammo done, and some routine blood work. When the results were in, they phoned me to come back for another appt., which i did.

I was charged another co-pay and my ins was billed for this visit. The visit consisted of informing me that i was pre-diabetic, and to watch my sugar intake..THAT WAS IT! I drove 20 min there and 20 min back to work just for that information which, i believe, could have been told to me over the phone.
