Paytrust

Customer Service

I have been a loyal customer of PayTrust since 2001. Over the years, I have seen their technology, functionality, and interface get overpassed by competitors but have stuck with them primarily because the essential functions have worked.

However, recently I created a new vendor in the system, and their system erroneously automatically assigned it to another vendor even though everything showed up correctly on my interface.

Well, the next monthly payment that was supposed to go out to my HOA went to some vendor I had never heard of.

They are claiming it is my responsibility, and now the burden is on me to go chase down a refund from w vendor that I have never heard of nor have contact information for.

I will be terminating my 17-year relationship with Paytrust immediately.

I guess loyalty doesn’t get you very far these days, and as a customer, I feel like just a number.

Time to rebrand from Paytrust to No trust.

  1. What Bill Pare Service do you use?

Since the customer service and the quality of Paytrust has been declining and because they are shutting down in August if 2023, what service do you all use, and are you happy with it?

  2. No one is home at Paytrust

Paytrust has no support and from all indications, even the corporate officers are unaware of its existence. It seems to be buried deep inside other corporations. I managed to hunt down cell phone numbers of some of its officers but they are unfamiliar with the product and no longer provide the service they promote on their website. I had insurance cancelled because they never received a payment, a payment that had been scheduled quarterly for several years I continue to get other peoples bills and those poor saps probably have no idea they are even due. No one is home there. They did something weird to the website so you can’t tell what’s due or what’s been paid and slapped some weird pie graphic on everything that nothings more than a distraction. A bill that isn’t due has a bright red past due while those that are due list the last payment as paid. I think this is a shell operation to hide something else.

  3. Terrible and abusive service

After 15 years I am closing my account. They failed to switch my funding account, without explanation. Then when the old funding account didn’t work, they sent me to collections without ever giving me an opportunity to pay.

I am so disgusted that I will immediately stop using them. Never again.

  4. Very important

Two supervisors six agents have never resolved our issue since January 11, 2022. I explode with anger, and no one is helping us!!! Reference ticket 2200007920 & 2200028160. Pleassssse have mercy!!!

  5. Closing my Paytrust account today. No help with Credit Card they paid twice.

I’ve used Paytrust for over 20 YEARS!

They began double paying my American Express card twice, starting 90 days ago.

It appears that when they launched their new platform, the double payments began.

ZERO help resolving the problem. Crap overseas call center is useless.

Do not rely on this company to pay your bills, no matter how easy and convenient it is.

I am done with PayTrust or whatever they call themselves now.

  6. INTUIT took a great, simple system and DESTROYED IT!

I just got off the phone with Paytrust.
Q: How do I get rid of the listing of all the invoices Paytrust thinks is due and they are waiting for, because they are NOT going to come anytime soon?
    Answer: You can’t.
    Q:Why not?
    A:Because it’s programmed that way.

Q: How do I enter phone numbers into a billing account, because Paytrust keeps rejecting it, no matter what format I use.
A: My advice is to leave it blank.
Q: Why can’t I see all of my accounts at once like I used to?
A: It has been changed and that is no longer possible.

    Q: Can I speak to a manager?
    A: I will fill out a ticket.
Q: Will anyone get back to me?
A: Your complaint will be “escalated”.
    Q: Will someone contact me?
    A: It will be reviewed.

    I’ve had it!

  7. Terrible service

Agree with the other 1-star reviews. Just cancelled my 21-year account with them. They double charged me months ago and refuse to refund the extra payment. I’ve made over 30 calls and emails and get nothing but someone reading a script off their screen saying the matter is being researched. Nothing to research. I already sent them copies of the canceled check. Do NOT use Paytrust!

  8. Horrible could not come close to explaining their service

Look these guys have lost it. EVERY time i call customer service my call lands in the Philippines – no i am not kidding – spent forever on the phone because they could not understand me, and it could have been ALL the ROOSTERS in the background crowing! Nope – I am not kidding. I finally asked to speak with someone in the USA, but NOPE.

  9. Avoid at all costs!

Do not use this company. Paytrust closed my account after 19 years of being a customer. They tried to charge $10.95 monthly for processing, but it failed. There was still money in history.

After wasting an hour talking to their pathetic Philipino customer service reps, I was informed that to unlock my account, and I would need to mail a physical check to a PO box. Once they have received their payment, it will take about five days to open the account. My bills on auto-pay or electronic delivery to these morons won’t get paid.

Now I’m royally F**KED and cannot contact anyone in the USA. Paytrust is now controlled by a huge corporate conglomerate FSI Services and operated under Metavante Payment Services, LLC. No one can contact you in the USA.

Each contact number is automatic and does not connect you to a person. Do not get involved with this company.

They will eventually ruin your life! I find it absurd that an online bill payment service requires me to sign a paper check. F**K Paytrust!

  10. THIS IS A DEAD END SERVICE.

It is risky to use their service when you don’t have time to pay. Also, control over your accounts is essential infrastructure for anyone managing finances and credit. Let me tell you: When it was launched, this was a fantastic service.

Unfortunately, Intuit bought the service, and it hasn’t been updated or improved since then. They will let it run its course. No apps, no updates, no new functions. It works great up until you make a mistake.

On the internet, you can find online complaints about the company (such as missing payment, death in the family, power-of-attorney, and power of attorney). When I moved and switched drafting accounts to my bank, this happened to me.

When I was paying large bills, I accidentally chose the old account. I didn’t have any cash in that account. Mea Culpa. What is their response? To allow “their” process to finish its course, they COMPLETELY blocked me from managing my account.

What is the process? Continue to draft the same account for three weeks. All other payments must be stopped.

In the meantime, I pay $150 in fees to my old bank and $20 by Paytrust. I am also LOCKED out of my ability TO manage or PAY any other bills, even those funded from my account.

After numerous customer service escalated calls, I thought, “Hey, could you stop drafting an account with no money and just draft my new account with money “…”No sir…our policy…yadda, yadda yadda.” THIS IS A DEAD SERVICE.

  11. I would give this company a negative number if possible.

If possible, I would rate this company as a negative. Please message me if you know of any other customers suffering from “canned” customer services that cause problems in timely payment.

I am not an attorney. I’m just trying to figure out how many people have been affected by this company. As paying customers, we only have the power to change how this company treats its customers.

  12. Extremely disappointed

After being a customer for ten years, I had to change banks. A number of my checks were not processed due to a problem at their end. Multiple late fees from credit card and utility companies kept me in the dark.

Zero customer service! I refused to accept responsibility or help solve the problem. I’m dropping the service immediately. Extremely disappointed

  13. Use your own bank's billpay service which is usually free and just as easy.

After about 15 years of being a loyal customer, I have to give Paytrust 1 star. Paytrust used to be good, but now is worse than useless. Customer service is terrible. I can’t even cancel my account. Stay away! Use your own bank’s billpay service which is usually free and just as easy.

  14. The company seems to simply NOT care about customers

I have been on hold for 57 minutes and counting The customer service is out of the country and speaks poor English The company seems to simply NOT care about customers
