Terrible Customer

Terrible service. Branch Manager Linda Amaral is rude and unprofessional.

After reporting my card lost and applying for replacement, they told me 7-10 days…on the 11th business day.

When I inquired again where my replacement card was, I’m told they’re having an issue with their vendor and it could be 2 more weeks !

That makes it a month for a replacement card. Every other bank in the country will issue you a new card the same day it’s reported lost.

Pawtucket Credit Union still doing banking likes it’s 1981…These guys are clowns!

  1. I will be closing out that joke of an account and will refinance that loan somewhere else.

    HORRIBLE! The bank and the staff. We purchased a car and they just happened to be the loan provider. Unbeknownst to us they also opened a savings account in our name without our consent (or maybe it was buried in the paper work when signing for the car – shady if so) we only found out afterwards because they sent a letter in the mail to our home address.

    Well almost 2 months later without receiving a bill for the car I called them up to find out why. They claim to have sent out 2 bills non of which I received and now they are forcing me to drive 40 minutes away first thing in the morning to pay or face a late fee.

    They clearly have our address and phone numbers and chose not to do anything. I will be closing out that joke of an account and will refinance that loan somewhere else.

    I paid off my car loan at the Pawtucket location on June 7th with cash. Today is June 19th still no title in hand. It was an old loan they had the title in hand. I called last week and they said I should have it by the June 18th well that has come and gone.

    Pawtucket Credit Union has become big bank disgusting. There fees are worse than some of the larger banking institutions. Their call center has poor hours; is seriously understaffed and my branch has so many employee turnovers. I was told they are a training branch.

    My branch hours are so poor: Monday thru Wednesday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Who ends their work day at 3;00 PM? Their online services are absolutely archaic.

    I long for the credit union I joined over 20 years ago that was in a supermarket with great hours and super great long time tellers with reasonable fees. I guess I have to begin the search for a new financial institution.

    It’s not unusual that your monthly mortgage payment amount change every year when the escrow amount is revised.

    What’s unusual is that the new payment amount is buried in the annual escrow statement. If you only read the escrow transactions in the first page, and miss the change of monthly payment amount buried in the second page, you will be penalized in your next auto payment.

    Even if you are short of few dollars, you have to pay 60+ late payment fee. This is a trap, better watch out.
