Paragon Real Estate Group

Wast Of Time

Jay Pon was supposed to “help” my business parters and I when we moved to San Francisco.

Over the phone, he was courteous enough, and told us that he would help us find a place to open our business when we arrived in the city.

If you think you’ve ever met anyone condescending, think again. This guy takes the cake.

Not only did he spend a good portion of our time together explaining that we weren’t worth his time and that we were practically charity, he then went on to brag about how much money he’s used to making.

I’m sorry, but if we’re not worth your time, then why are we here?

After our wonderful first impression with the guy, he took us around town to show us where we should open our business.

Only he only showed us stuff that was either out of our price range, in the wrong part of town, or invisible from the street.

He either didn’t listen to a word we said or didn’t care. Either way, it was obvious to us that we were wasting each others time.

If all of this weren’t horrible enough, throw in a few racist and sexist comments about pedestrians we saw (and one that he almost hit!) and it was pretty much the worst afternoon of my life.

  1. I look forward to working with her again in the future.

I would highly recommend Beverly Kavanaugh for any real estate transaction. My husband Don and I have contracted with her three times, twice for selling and once for purchasing and her knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile is amazing.

During the three transactions, the market shifted dramatically and Beverly’s strategies and expertise followed suit. Our most recent sale concluded in May, and in this tough economic time,

Beverly realized that it would be beneficial to have our condominium complex FHA approved and she took it upon herself to make that happen. Sure enough, the buyer was seeking just such a property. Awesome! I look forward to working with her again in the future.

  2. Bad Service Provide.

We recently had an experience with Laura Gray of Paragon when we were trying to rent an apartment in San Francisco. She is very hard to get a hold of, doesn’t respond to emails or phone calls until the next day.

When we finally went to view the apartment she instantly stereotyped us (us being young professionals) and could tell she turned cold towards us and payed attention to the other person who was viewing the apartment.

The rent was less than 30% of our combined income and we had over 70k in the bank with 2 of the 3 people having great credit, and me having no credit (lack of history, but had a cosigner).

She instantly denied us because all of our credit scores weren’t above 700, and we know it was just because we were young. We had plenty of money in the bank, had a cosigner, she didnt even try to work with us… she just wanted our 60 dollars.

She wasted our time and didn’t really try to work with us on getting the apartment. The place has been up for a month now, I dont see how losing 3500 a month is better than having responsible young professionals move in.

  3. I continued to look elsewhere for an agent.

I was not satisfied with the service this organization provided. It seemed that the agent I worked with was recently out of high school. It was the second time I had seen a very young, in-experienced individual in this position. I continued to look elsewhere for an agent.

  4. The Sotheby's agent Bill Brush just shot it in again.

I sent her 3 emails asking her to extend the date out several days to give buyers time. All of these emails were ignored because she knew a previous off market offer was coming in again, all cash and no contingencies and she was intent that that buyer get the house. Since the offer was already written, the Sotheby’s agent Bill Brush just shot it in again.

Having co-trustee brother who was all in for this offer I was in a tough spot so on Tuesday I signed the deal.

On Tuesday afternoon a female buyer showed up at the house and said she had told Marilee that she and her husband were out of town but were very interested in the house. Marilee said it would still be on the market for them to do a walk through.
