Pacific Residential Mortgage, LLC

Worst Experience

After over 40 years of investing in real estate and counseling clients (I was a CPA partner with a national firm) on their real estate investments we had the singularly WORST experience ever at Pacific Residential Mortgage, LLC.

In the process of trying to buy an investment property in Portland, they delayed, had MANY duplicate doc requests as they lost or couldn’t find docs we had previously sent and in the end couldn’t make the loan as the underwriter had NO IDEA want she was underwriting.

They are the picture of incompetence and in the end, blew our deal and the purchase went South.

No issue with our credit or down payment, etc. It was all their mistakes and errors. DON’T USE THEM.

  1. I do not recommend this company or this people.

My experience with this company was horrible! I was pre-qualified, pre-approved, everything was going to schedule, the appraisal was done paid for, reviewed and passed, the title papers were sent out, then after 2 months into the process, I was notified that the loan was not going to go thru!

The communication was poor, the professionalism was awful! The branch manager, Melissia Stash wanted to do nothing but argue and talked in circles. I had 4 different people calling me and emailing me. Papers were lost or ‘misplaced’ and had to be resent.

  2. We went with Pacific Residential on the recommendation of our realtor's office in purchasing property.

We went with Pacific Residential on the recommendation of our realtor’s office in purchasing property. This was not for a shortsale, this was a standard sale with us contributing 20% down at signing. The DAY BEFORE closing, we were notified that the underwriter demanded more assessments on the property and we extended closing by another week.

Then again, we had to extend closing because something else needed to be done at the last minute and the paperwork was not completed/paperwork was not sent to the Title company that they required.

At signing we discovered the reason that things were being put off was because Pacific Residential had already arranged to sell our mortgage BEFORE WE HAD EVEN SIGNED and that the bank buying the mortgage was demanding these extra inspections, costing us an extra $1400.

  4. This company committed to a loan rate with me and then decided

This company committed to a loan rate with me and then decided, after me qualifying and doing all the work, that they could not provide the loan rate promised, and only offered for me to work with them at a rate a full percent higher! Worst experience ever, and I have been through dozens of loans and refinancing. STAY AWAY!! terrible experience with Rodd and team…
