Pacific Bay Lending Group

The Worst Experiences

This is our first time dealing with Pacific Bay Lending Group, it will also be our last.

Our Loan Specialist lacked in the communication department and made so many false promises.

When questioned about them when they weren’t happening and she denied making them.

They were supposed to pay off our few credit cards and auto loan, none of the payments were correct.

We were still left with balances and some of the checks aren’t made out correctly.

When we called asking why they weren’t paid off the the supervisor, Steve Funk, told my husband that was our responsibility and hung up on him.

This has been the WORST experience and I so wish that we would have just canceled the whole thing.

  1. Chris answered all my questions and kept me informed along the way.

Fantastic company to work with. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chris Alan. I have refinanced in the past and this one was the best experience. Chris answered all my questions and kept me informed along the way.

  2. DON'T BANK WITH THIS BANK because it seems they don't know what they are dong at all.

DON’T BANK WITH THIS BANK because it seems they don’t know what they are dong at all. This bank charged me twice for the payment mortgage. First I sent my payment over the mail, after a week, I called in and they said “We have not received payment”.

Second, I went to the office physically dropped the second check, and guess what? after 3 days, I called still “We have not received your payment”. A week after, I called in again and they answer “We received the check”. Finally, STUPIDLY they cashed out both of my checks. SO, don’t bank with this horrible bank unless you invite problems….

  3. Never Again

Chris Alan was great to work with! Very professional but, also personable. I hope to have a long working relationship with him and Pacific Bay Lending Group.

  4. I appreciated his dedication throughout this process!

I had a wonderful experience working with Chris Alan and Pacific Bay. He kept me well informed throughout the loan process. I feel blessed to have worked with Chris. He answered all my questions and never left me out of the loop. Chris took time away from his family to take calls from my husband and I. I appreciated his dedication throughout this process!

  5. I would never use this company again.

As a Mortgage Broker, we sent this company a real estate mortgage transaction last December. It is now April and the loan should fund today. This has been one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with in the 25 years I’ve been a mortgage professional.

I cannot get straight answers to my questions; I leave VM and no one clls me back. Now it seems that we are involved in a Broker/Broker transaction suddenly at funding time, with our commission going to another Broker undisclosed to us. We locked our loan with our company name, but HUD-1 lists another Broker. I would never use this company again.

  6. All these comments are correct, I wish there was a NO STAR rating

I have been a Realtor for the past 32 years and never in my career have I seen such a scam of a company out there doing loans for people.
They are the most unethical company i have ever had the displeasure of doing business with.

They wasted 30 days by a bad appraisal, then a bad drive by appraisal, then we had two other appraisal completed that were good ones and they would hear or consider the rebuttal, meaning the Buyer didn’t get their loan after 90 days and the seller was not able to sell.

Nothing to mention the two separate Realtors which did everything imaginable to keep this going. Every day the lender wanted one more thing, or the one thing they requested was NOT written on the correct form, in other words hurry up and wait.

  7. I filed a complaint my self with CFPB.

Worst company ever, they are thieves. My mortgage broker submitted my loan to them. It was approved early November. They violated several TRID rules. Initially they failed to send initial disclosures, they claimed they had mailed initial disclosures as their e-signing portal wasn’t working.

I asked them for proof these were mailed and it was never provided. After 2 months of going back and forth with conditions and several lock extensions, broker realized they never disclosed broker’s origination fee. They had issued a closing package, Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures reflecting zero origination charges.

They also failed to disclose accurate fees such as appraisal, recording fees and lock extension fees. They manipulated disclosures ( back dated ) to avoid curing fees and allowing appropiate waiting periods as per CFPB regulation.

My clsoing cost increased from $9,500.00 to $16,000.00 You can file a complaint with CPFB if you went through the same situation, just follow the prompts. This company is shady. This situation was taken to upper management and as expected no solution was given. I filed a complaint my self with CFPB.
