OVM Financial
Lack Of Communication SkillsMy husband and I were looking to get into an investment property and our realtor recommended OVM, particularly Lissa Stoner.
What a mistake that was. This woman lacks professionalism and does not communicate.
First, we filled out the application. The next morning there is an email asking for additional documentation, which confused me since per the website, the company would issue a pre-approval then ask for further documentation.
Second, I provided the information and two days go by with not a word from Ms Stoner.
On Sunday, she sends an email asking if we have discussed other options for the loan, to which I replied that we were waiting for feedback from the documentation we provided on Friday.
This woman states that she did receive the documentation but that our DTI was still too high.
It’s not that our DTI was high, or even that we might not get the loan, it was Ms. Stoner’s lack of communication.
In the end, my husband and I moved a few assets around, paid off our truck leaving us with a DTI of 35%.
Unfortunately for Ms. Stoner and OVM, we will be taking our business elsewhere as Ms.
Stoner’s lack of communication skills is too scary to trust through the process of buying a home.
That should have been the first thing she learned in school…communication is key.
