Nostalgic Homes

Unprofessional And Rude

I will never list any home with Nostalgic Homes based on my experience with them as a buyer.

From the first interaction with the listing agent, Jill was unprofessional and rude.

Sitting and eating during a open house while prospective buyers toured on their own seemed odd to me and not being able to answer simple questions about the history of the property were just a couple of things that I intially encountered.

We go under contract after the first buyer falls through (who knows what really happened) and I was excited to purchase and renovate this 1950’s ranch.

The inspection returns with a laundry list of deferred maintenance items and most concerning.

There’s water under the house and the seller/agent don’t have any idea why.

The agent throws a tantrum with my agent and says it’s all been a waste of time when we submit our objections.

I’m fairly certain that’s the entire reason inspections are completed and then negotiated.

The selling agent told us the seller wouldn’t be making any accommodations for the $20k in necessary repairs and prepared termination documents “so we didn’t waste anyone else’s time”.

Incredibly short sighted, unprofessional and immature.

I feel bad for anyone who’s chosen to list their home with this company!

  1. I've been watching the real estate market closely

I’ve been watching the real estate market closely, and some of their properties in NW Denver have been VERY overpriced. I’ve watched them sit for months until the prices finally made significant drops — one of them by $40K.

  2. Arrogant and uneducated.

I hope I never have to deal with someone like Corey Wadley again. Arrogant and uneducated.

  3. Choosing a professional services provider involves hiring someone to represent one's interest in a transaction or a situation.

Choosing a professional services provider involves hiring someone to represent one’s interest in a transaction or a situation. My wife and I chose Nostalgic because of their perceived reputation as a market leader in Wheat Ridge, and, to our own detriment,

failed to perform the necessary diligence for our transaction. In the Denver area real estate market circa , one would expect an agent to aggressively pursue their wishes and desires to maximize such an important investment.

We felt that in our experience, this couldn’t have been farther from the case. Before detailing why we feel this way, I’m sure that Corey will come on here and argue with me, possibly bringing up statistics involving my getting 98% of asking and detailing that they had “budgeted” for $3,000 in inspection objection resolutions.

  4. SCAM BEWARE

For the record, I can read and I have already done as you directed me to do and I passed your contact information along to the Buyer last week.”

And this is a good one, Jenny pushing me to PAY MORE in inspection right up to within 24 hours of the buyer agreeing to AS IS:

“Corey and I have discussed the terms of the Inspection Objection and Resolution and here’s what we would propose:
