This company flat out lies to customers! They pushed hard on selling an Amana unit to me and told me that it would save me 40% on our electric usage. Well, I am sad to say my bill has actually gone up. The owner takes no responsibility and the install was horrible. Customer service is one of the worst I have dealt with! Please stay away from this company. They are a bunch of con artists!

  1. Millie's Poor Customer Service

    My AC stopped working. Called Millie’s HVAC and they sent out a tech that same day. Yeah! BUT the tech kept recommending a new unit. I conveyed that purchasing a new unit was in the plans but not at the moment. I had to keep asking could the unit be fixed. After several rounds of them selling a new unit and me asking could the current unit be fixed, they finally conceded to the repair and scheduled work for the next day. The quote was around $1K. In the meantime, A COMPETING COMPANY assessed the unit and diagnosed that the connector that sent the electrical charge to the blower fan just needed cleaning. My unit was back in business within ten minutes of the tech arriving. In addition, the tech stated that my unit , although older, was in great shape. The total cost was $60. From $1K to $60, I’ll take any day.

    Millie’s HVAC LOST me as a client or any referrals. TRUST & INTEGRITY seemed to be values of the past sometimes.

  2. I would highly recommend his Customer service.

    I have called Millie’s Tuesday morning time we have an issue with a geothermal system at my own home. Technician came to my home same day and repaired. He has always replied promptly, worked efficiently, and explained all repairs, costs, and prevention methods.

    Quick service and accurate service charge. From the first call when he quoted me a price, to the actual repair Millie’s technician was excellent. He showed up right at the time he quoted me and his initial quote based on what I thought was wrong was accurate. I would highly recommend his Customer service.

    My invoice states control board. The Service Doctors rep argued with me and told me not to worry that the warranty company would reimburse me anyways. I told him that I wanted the work to be done and that I was worried that the control board would go out because his technician said it would be replaced and that is what was paid for.

    Best experience ever with a heating and air conditioning repair company! Same day service at schedule time, Professional and knowledgeable technician, they arrived when expected,

    fixed the problem and explained everything to me helpful tips on how to keep our heat pump at better performance. This company was great. I would call them again when I need.

  5. Never Agian

    When our air conditioner died out a couple months ago, we had our home warranty people come and take a look. They told us the whole system needed to be replaced (which I expected, the system looked like it was from the 80s) and gave us a couple undesirable options, none of which included a warranty-covered replacement.

    I called around to get some more opinions, and everyone said the same thing and offered their prices for a straight replacement. After calling Millie’s and Mark came out, told us the same thing… But further went on to detail some things specific to our case that helped make it dramatically more affordable that nobody else had even considered.

    I don’t want to go into all the details here of what happened because it may not apply to everyone, but the point is that thanks to Mark’s expertise we were able to afford the replacement system with no problem and had the brand new, ridiculously powerful system installed the very next day, which was actually a Sunday, so thanks for that as well!

    They had a tech. out at my house the same day i called for service which was really good and was able to find and fix my problem with the AC unit in the very same day, excellent service and deff will be using them again!

    Excellent service. I have just recently used Millie to replace my HVAC, and I am astonished at the high quality of service and pricing. If you are in the market for an HVAC full replacement, Millie will price match any, and I mean any other competitors, including Sears, HomeDepot, Lowes, and any other HVAC competitors in the Maryland and DC Area.

    My product was installed on a weekend, yes on a weekend, the competition cannot match that. They did a price, warranty, and part no match and will do a free upgrade if they have to win your business. Installers were on time, courteous, and are knowledgeable. Millie was a one-stop for me, I believe me when I say that Kamal, the service lead, was extremely patient and knowledgeable. I stand by every single word in this review.

    I originally started with Millies a few years ago when I found them on Angies List. They had good marks so I bought a maintenance plan. The first few times I used them there were no problems. Scheduling was good, the technicians were good, friendly, prompt, and informative.

    The last two times, however, have been very different. Last spring a technician was scheduled to come in the afternoon (something like between 12-3). The office called at 3:00 saying the tech could be there about 4:30. I said no problem.

    The tech shows up, doesn’t apologize, and just walks right in to my house saying “I’m here to look at the A/C.” He was wearing sweat pants, at that. He inspected my system, gave no feedback, and had me sign the papers and he left.

  10. NEVER NO MATTER WHAT, USE THIS COMPANY.

    I would not even give them a star. It was the only option. They are a bunch of crooks. They act like they are going to fix a problem but they don’t. They tell you the part will be available in a couple days. Then after a couple of days of blowing you off they don’t show up or still don’t have the part.

    Which by the way after spending a couple hundred dollars more to fix what they broke, another company tells me they drove right to the store and picked it up. They said its a very common part.

    Two years later, in the process of getting the furnace replaced, we learned that the installation was not done correctly, would not pass inspection and no professional contractor could tie a new furnace (or water heater) into the duct work.

    Not only did they have the single pane duct work TOUCHING flammable material but in several cases, they cracked and broke the metal ducting during install and used electrical tape to fix it. We called them to give them an opportunity to fix the work, they sent a tech out who confirmed the work was done poorly and promised that “the owner will call you.”

    Stay away from them, they say something and do something. they came as a team of 2 people and while you are not watching one of the person does something bad to your a/c so that fails soon.

    Very unprofessional and they never keep up their time. Dont ever call them. The earlier owners were really good but the current owners of Miilie HVAC are no good and charge exorbitant fees for doing nothing.

  13. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

    The Owner is a theif! They charged me twice and caused an overdraft fee and they would not cover it. Service was horrible as well! I am hoping the AC will last but not holding my breath! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
