  1. MTC Education

MTC education runs a semi legitimate crypto trading education program coupled with some personal development and meal recipes. They have an app for community members to socialise and ask questions. All this seems above board.
Then you get to the “free money”, “passive income”, “get rich for doing nothing”, “change your life” pitch. You have to have a sponsor before you can sign up and access any of the above mentioned services. It costs $200 upfront and then $200 per month but if you refer 4 people they will waive your fees. They also promise to pay you! They promise a “rep” anywhere between $140 and $2645 per month, a “senior rep” $1340 to $8645 per month. These are the minimums that they promise you, and the money simply comes from the newbies paying their sign up fee and monthly subscription. Now, at some point the bottom of the pyramid is going to get too big and the thing will fall apart. It’s a classic pyramid scheme. Steer Clear totally. You are unable to just sign up for the education – you MUST be tied to a sponsor so they can get some of your money. I’m not sure why they are doing this illegally because the initial premise seems like it could be a successful business. Promising people who are desperate to change their lives or get rich quick is preying on the vulnerable and it’s pretty disgusting how many people are signing up.
I’m hoping there is some sort of investigation by Consumer Affairs or ACCC. In fact I’m going to call them now. Keep your money and your dignity and learn to trade crypto somewhere else.
