Kevin Minkoff, CPA

Not Happy With Kevin Minkoff's Service

Kevin Minkoff, CPA just sent me a notice from small claims court suing me for not paying a year old invoice for inadequate service.

Furthermore, the claim on the court bill is for more than the original invoice and the late fee (plus the court fee).

You would think an account would be able to get his numbers straight, but this says it all.

Last year, I asked Kevin to quickly review a contract and give me accounting advice.

He took over two weeks and then emailed me a few miscellaneous notes that I could not decipher.

I was frustrated because I specifically ask him to call me and review the document with me (I know nothing about accounting and this was the whole reason I hired him).

I never received a bill from him and I figured he recognized that his work was late and sparse.

A year later, his assistant sent me a bill and a late fee!

I replied that I had never received the original bill (which she later acknowledged) and that I was not happy with Kevin’s service.

I just received papers from Kevin that he’s suing me in small claims court for more than the original service and late fee.

I’m not sure where he came up with his number. It makes no sense.

I’m going to just pay it because it’s not worth the stress with Thanksgiving around the corner.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BEAN COUNTER. He’s “not ordinary” and that’s a bad thing.

  1. Time is of the essence.

I have been using the firm of Kevin Minkoff, CPA for 25 years. I have been extremely pleased with the timely filing of my taxes and the reminders for making tax payments throughout the year. There are frustrating moments when some of an accountant’s clients do not submit their information so the accounting firm can do their job efficiently. Usually accountants spend much of their valuable time trying to illicit the information they need. In order to stay in business time is what

  2. Disgruntled Clients using fake names!

The above reviews are all from disgruntled clients using fake names. I could put their real names on here with emails if they like? I have evidence of their issues and I could put it on here for you to judge for yourself. We have taken very few people to small claims court so it’s not hard to figure out who they are.

  3. STAY AWAY.

  4. He is extremely rude!!!

Do not use this person for your taxes! If you have any issues or questions you will be ignored. He is extremely rude!!!

  5. Scammer

Kevin agreed to a flat fee, and then sent me final bill which was almost double what he said it would be. In addition to that, his office processed the city taxes incorrectly. What his office delivered to me was a complete mess, with numbers sometimes printed outside of the forms boxes etc.

When I disputed the over-charge with him, I found out that in fact he didn’t process my taxes at all. Instead it was someone named Barbara. Every-time I interacted with the office in an attempt to clear the over-charge,

I was only allowed to speak with Barbara who was not helpful. Kevin Minkoff has since sent my bill to collections and I am disputing those charges which are fraudulent.
