This outrageous $2k robbery
Tried to charge me $2000 for just a simple introductory planning meeting! Then when I tried to ask questions about their practice, he switched into sales mode and kept trying to get me to come in for an “introductory planning meeting”, which I eventually learned would cost me $2,000! I tried to ask even a bit more about their firm and he just kept repeating the sales pitch to get me in for an initial meeting.
Other planners I have talked to have been willing to spend over an hour talking with me on the phone for free about their background, practice, etc. and even then an initial meeting is at a reasonable hourly rate, not this outrageous $2k robbery. If you truly have something worthwhile to offer, you don’t try to grab a bunch of your client’s money right up front! Will NEVER work with these folks and will steer friends clear of them.
