I’ve not used Hms Mortgage so this review is not based on the quality of their ability to help people buy their homes.

However, it needs to be said that their commercials are terribly offensive and sexist.

The question is posed if customers are consistently satisfied with their customer service and the philandering lead challenges the audience to “meet our customer service department”.

If your writers can’t sell your services without demeaning women, shame on you.

    I worked for him and it was the worst. He doesn’t give a crap about the male employees. I met every phone call and appointment goal and he still let me go. That day he fired 2 other employees just because. This isn’t the first firing party hes held. Oh wait, only the males were fired…. hhmm. He sends in some 24 year old with a major chip on his shoulders to shop your skills. Bob gets angry when you can’t get the struggling family of 5 to sign up for a credit repair program that has a price tag. He walks around bragging about celebrities and athletes like Dion Sanders. Big man on campus smelling and looking like a Vegas act from the 80s. Hey Bob, have respect for everyone in your office, even when they don’t kiss your A.

  3. The owner of the mortgage Company they use (Doug) is a racist. I quit due to Bob’s complicity.

    Worked for this racist for a few months…wish it wouldn’t have taken so long for Bob to show his true colors. The owner of the mortgage company they use (Doug) is a blatant racist.

    I paid them $800, to supposedly help fix my credit faster. Had to wait over a year and a half, stuff start coming off after the 7 year limit. A total waste of money. Then they want to pick the house’s for you to buy. Once I signed a contract, never heard from the Realtor, or anyone again.

    sadly, in their commercials they put down realtors. Yet, they have 10 realtors that work for them and are a real estate brokerage.

    I’ve bought several homes over the years and never had an experience anywhere close to as unprofessional as this one was. The process was started in early December and just finally closed at the end of March .

    HMS passed our mortgage case over to AMCAP to service our request. Every single request for information they raised was serviced within the same day. I even went ahead and had a new survey of the property done ahead of time. Communication was horrible. Not once did the personal handling the file call with an update.

    I had to call every time. They missed the first close date at the end of January, the next one at the end of February, and three more they set. Nothing was done until the absolute last moment. Even the property appraisal was requested last minute.

    All this and then they decided we needed to switch everything to an FHA loan 3 days before we were to close. That required another appraisal to be completed because FHA does not accept the findings of conventional appraisals.

    Based solely on their commercials i will never use this service. The man in them uses his commercials as some sort of attempt to put down every single person who enters into business with him. “Bless your heart”. Bless my heart? You’re the one who is driving business away from you by being such a condescending jerk on television.

    So i guess if thats what you want to do….. bless your heart. By the way as a renter if my air conditioning goes out, i dont have to pay money to fix it. If my roof gets old, its replaced. My lawn and pool are taken care of without any of the hassle of actually owning these things.

    Really, we dont take anything we “own” to the grave with us when we die so acting like property is “yours” and entering into a 30 year debt for it is the real lie. Bless your heart.

    I just saw a commercial that said nobody says lets go to an apartment for the holidays or home for the holidays is an apartment. Let me give you the definition of home: I am a single mom who has raised my daughter in a home-apartment.

    Our home is what we have and for you to say because I don’t have a mortgage is not a home is BS. So take your commercial and shove it up your bless your heart! My apartment that I can afford is so much home then you know! Merry Christmas!

  9. If you're looking to buy a home, there's better and less sleazy options.

    HMS and it’s owner are frauds. His crass commercials aside, they are better options than this pompous as*bless your heart* . I’ve seen his ignorant commercials for years and can safely say ignorance and sleaze aren’t his only attributes. If you’re looking to buy a home, there’s better and less sleazy options.
