Herbal Corner Dispensary, Oregonbuds.org, goldenbudsprovider.com, Kevin Pettigrew
Website claims to be for dispensary in Oregon. I called the store, it is not for them. I placed an order for product on the oregonbuds.org website. After payment was taken I received an email from goldenbudsprovider.com saying I needed to pay for a larger order and pay a “refundable” shipping insurance fee, that they wouldn’t ship without insurance.
I texted who I thought was the store owner (communicated through text prior to this about payment) and said no. Was told we could split fee. Said no, asked for refund. After going back and forth with “Kevin” he claimed to only have $100 and so could not issue refund despite the website’s no hassle refund policy. When I questioned this, he claimed he shipped it.
So I asked for tracking number. I had already asked goldenbudsprovider.com and they said they used FedEx (he messed up there). He gave me a number that sent me to a page through goldenbudsprovider.com which was obviously made up and it took him awhile to send it so I’m sure he generated it himself. I said no, the FedEx number. He tried saying this company was different and I said no, they told me they use FedEx (again, he messed up).
I also said why does it say it’s on hold in Idaho when the email said they wouldn’t ship without the insurance? Even if he’d just had it shipped, maybe an hour prior, how would it get from Europe to Idaho? And why when I’m in Michigan? And why would “insurance” get the package “off hold?” He then tried one last time convince me to pay the fee.
It was at this point I called the physical store and found out he was not associated with them (I had asked him to verify I had the right store and he said he was). I told him I called them, that this was obviously a scam, and to just return my money. Of course, I have not heard anything else from him.
