Hendrick Chevrolet

The worse experience ever.

Doing business with Hendrick Chevrolet dealership has been the worse experience ever. First of all, let me just say that I do not recommend them because they are very rude, unprofessional and shady.

I purchased a vehicle from this place on August 9th and when I attempted to make my first payment on September 6th, the finance company stated they had no record of my contract.

I reached out to the dealership and was then told they just needed to do a new contract so, I went back in and signed a new contract and thought everything was done.

A few days later I began getting calls from numerous people from the dealership stating that I needed to come in so I did.

When I arrived they sent out their very rude sales manager Andrew who then told me that my deal did not go through and I had to return the car.

I advised him that I would return it as soon as I could get my daughter’s belongings out. At this point he became belligerent and called me several racial slurs and got in my face.

Then he demanded that I return the vehicle after I had already told him I would bring it in, he threatened to call the police on me.

I then reached out to the general manger Tee Thomas who was just as bad and did nothing but lie. He claimed to have addressed the issue, but I assure you he did not.

The deal fell through because they failed to follow the guidelines specified by the finance company and they did not even acknowledge that they screwed up.

The manager had me come back in stating that he was going to fix it, but he did not.

Instead, he done nothing but lie and waste my time.

I am now out of money for registering and putting insurance on a vehicle that had to be returned.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE!

I ended up with 14 inquiries on my credit that I did not authorize and my credit score took a 29 point hit because of it.

I told them up front that I did not want my credit ran more than twice, but they done it anyway.

BUYERS BEWARE!! This place will do anything to get a sale, even if it is not on the up and up.

This place was a clean environment and all the salesman looks really good in there blue and red union forms you really can tell that Hendrick is trying to stand out for the other car lots.

  5. Kasey Croft was really nice and helpful.

Kasey Croft was really nice and helpful. I went in the other day to look at Silverado and I was very impressed with his product knowledge. I feel that most dealerships try to scam you out of your money but I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to haggle for the price I wanted.

  6. Was looking at trucks to maybe trade in on for my Jeep.

Was looking at trucks to maybe trade in on for my Jeep. Lots of inventory. Kasey showed me around and gave me some good options to consider. When I’m ready to pull the trigger, I’ll definitely be back. No pushy sales tactics. Just folks looking to put you in a good vehicle. The car lots of the past are dead, and good riddance!

  7. The salesman we worked with, Jonathan Wood, took great care of us.

The salesman we worked with, Jonathan Wood, took great care of us. He made sure we found the car we were looking for with all the features we needed, and I had given him quite a lengthy list of specifications we were looking for.

The finance officer, I think his name was Chris, was also really good to work with. He explained everything quite clearly, and he made sure all the paperwork was in order. It’s never fun shelling out thousands of dollars for a car, but if you are going to do it then Hendrick is where you need to go and Jonathan Wood is who you need to work with!

  8. When you are waiting on site, that is a bit long.

This was my first time getting my car serviced at the Hendrick dealership. We used to use another local dealership for service, but found them to be a bit shady. My experience with Hendrick was definitely a positive one and I will certainly be back.

My advisor was pleasant and clearly explained all of the options available for the 45000 mi service my vehicle was due for. I did not feel pressured to add additional services or parts even when it was determined that three of my tires will need to be replaced in the near future.

The only negative was the wait. It took 2.5 hours to complete the service with a pre-scheduled appointment. When you are waiting on site, that is a bit long.

  9. But it was a great experience! Gotta give credit where credit is due, even if I was only window shopping.

I was looking for a new car before Labor Day. Something not too feminine but a little sporty. Y’know, that sweet spot between Mascara Black Mazda Miata and Porcelain White Ford Mustang (my two favorite cars of all time).

A pleasant associate introduced himself and suggested I, being a 28 year-old man that likes to lift things up and set them back down again in place where likeminded individuals do the same thing while listening to #dopeaf beats from my boy Steve Aoki, should consider something a little more to my stature. I’d never considered it, but was open to suggestions as my Taxi Yellow Mini Cooper was not going to make it for another beach run.

We checked out the Silverado, but I’ve never really been a truck guy. However, I couldn’t escape the allure of a new Malibu. We took it for a test drive, and the car handled like an accountant’s dream!

Anyways, long story short, my dad wouldn’t co-sign and suggested I use one of the cars from his used lot in Alabaster. But it was a great experience! Gotta give credit where credit is due, even if I was only window shopping.

  10. The girl behind the desk took my name and info then made a few phone calls.

I called them after she got off the phone with them and made and appointment to speak to the service manager or general manager about this matter. I arrived 3 hours later and approached the front desk and asked to speak to the general manager.

The girl behind the desk took my name and info then made a few phone calls. A few minutes later, a sales manager approached me and said he was to address my problem. I explained the events and again asked to speak to the general manager.

He said he was not available but I could make an appointment to see him the next day. I told him I had already made an appointment. I was there to see him at the agreed time and another visit would require another 150 mile round trip and that was not happening.

I told him he needed to call someone in charge to come to the lobby to see me about my situation. He said he was the only one who could help me. I then told him I would be outside speaking to Hoover Police, making a report of the Unlawful B&E of my auto (a felony) and Theft of Property. A report was made and I left.

The next day, I got a call from Alex, the service manager, who said he had been called into the dealership on his off day by the general manager solely to address my complaint. He sounded distressed during our conversation. It was not something he wanted to do. He told me that the dealership was not responsible for anything stolen from cars left for service and that they have a sign that says so.

  11. He blew her complaint off.

My wife made an appointment for an oil change and tire balance for our 2014 Silverado for 9 am on. Its a 150 mile round trip from our home on Smith Lake in Crane Hill but the oil changes are supposed to be free the 1st year so we decided to use them. The tire balance is a recheck for a problem that was addressed under warranty.

Ivan Leonard had replaced the tires. She arrived on time and spent 5 hours in the waiting room. It took them until 230 to get done with an oil change and balance that should not have taken more than an hour to do.

Then when she went to the cashier for a receipt for the repairs that should have been covered by the free oil change deal she was told that she has too many miles on the truck.

It was for the first year (which we are still in) or 24000 miles, which she is well over (driving from Cullman to B’ham daily) and the recheck for the vibration at highway speeds was not going to be covered either. Ok… we pay and go home.

Then the fun starts… Wednesday was the only day that week she drove the truck and Hendricks was the only place she went in it. We have other vehicles and she drove one of those instead that week. Friday morning, when she was going to get some Christmas shopping done, she realized that $200 was missing from her center console.

She called and spoke to someone in their service department who told her that they were not responsible for articles stolen from vehicles left for service. He pointed out that they have a sign in the service write up bay that states this. He blew her complaint off.
