This Joke Of A Company Called Flagship Financial

When they say buyer beware in a real estate transaction, they mean buyer beware of this joke of a company called Flagship Financial.

We applied for a loan with flagship after receiving a call from one of their representatives claiming to be a licensed loan officer in the state of Utah.

2 weeks into the transaction, we discovered not only was the person we were dealing with not licensed, but he was let go two days after we applied for the loan.

We were then scuffled of to a person claiming to be a manager named Mari Maurtner.

This person proceeded to tell us that after three weeks, she was unable to “find our file”

As we were on a deadline for closing, We had to trust that Flagship would produce the file.

After repeated calls to Mari Martner, Will Farrar, Anette Lowder and Ben Curtis with NO RETURN PHONE calls, we finally decided to go with the company (American Lending) which was referred by our agent who saved the day, Mike Q. at Tooele Remax.

Overall experience with this company that claims to be a mortgage company was horrible. Simply Horrible.

If you are stubborn and want to bang your head against the Flagship wall, at least be sure to ask the representative for his or her state mortgage license number.

If they can not produce it, contact the division of real estate.

I did and was told my complaint was not uncommon to Flagship Financial.

BUYER BE WARE

  1. So where did that extra $5,000 or go????

We signed off our VA loan with a great rate. We are now asking some questions back and no one seems to have a very creditable response. What they estimated our loan payoff to be 4 months earlier is NOT what they paid off our previous balance on mortgage.

No can respond to where that money went?????? Also were told we would not be paying mortgage for 2 months. That didn’t happen either! We paid right up until we were switched to the new mortgage company. So where did that extra $5,000 or go????

Not back to us and not to the Pay off. So it REALLY cost us MORE to acquire the new rate!!!!!! We’d like some answers. So my thoughts Be AWARE and really look at pay off amounts……cause you could be paying more than you think you actually will be. Money can’t just go poof – It’s in someone’s pocket.

  2. but it's not functional.

After claiming they would not let my information into third party hands, I’m now getting harrased by offers and adds. Clearly they have no intention of leaving poeple alone, dispite several phone calls to their office. What’s worse is the emails contain a link to “unsubscribe,” but it’s not functional.
