First Option Mortgage
Stay AwayThe product I was in the market for was a USDA Rural Development mortgage. I found their name from the list of USDA approved mortgage brokers.
The first couple days were great and I was impressed on the turn around time.
Unfortunately they couldn’t maintain. I was interrupted by the government shutdown in early to mid October.
During this time I expected to get as much “leg work” completed with the broker.
Three weeks after the government came online, the USDA RD department still had not seen my application.
After 90 days, I decided to switch to an FHA product as I needed to close on the house so I didn’t loose the deal.
I thought we were within a few days of closing and I get a call that the Lake Oswego branch had been shut down and everyone was told to go home.
A few days later, some loan officer calls me from Salt Lake city trying to pickup where the previous employee left off.
By that time I had already pursued other options. Bottom line, this company is so focused on hitting quotas.
You’re just a number to them. They should re-brand to “Last Option” or “Plan Z” cause they’re horrible.
Never settle for a home mortgage. Get what is best for you. Stay away. You’ve been warned!
Allied Mortgage Resources (A division of Mann Mortgage LLC) saved my home purchase and closed my USDA RD loan in under 30 calendar days (including Christmas and New Years holidays).
