Bacteria had gotten under my skin

So I know I was one of the first people to do a rating for this location. I wanted to write a review for the post waxing stage. The next day after I did my wax on Saturday, I woke up with both of my legs swollen & huge red spots all over my legs. I was freaking out cause I didn’t know what was happening.

I ended up going to the emergency room because it got worst as the days went by. I did call the EWC to cancel my next appointment because what was happening after my first wax was crazy! I found out that from the ER that since I had sensitive skin, the wax that was put over my hair follicles was not good. Bacteria had gotten under my skin from doing the wax which caused my legs to swell up and now I could barely walk without being in pain. Everyone’s skin reacts differently to wax.

One thing I did want to note for EWC: you just need to ask clients coming more questions about their skin instead of asking only Acne questions. And do a test strip before so people know how their skin reacts to it. Truly sucks that this happened to me days before my birthday

  1. DO NOT PURCHASE A WAX PASS

    Do not purchase a wax pass from EWC. I have been a loyal customer for several years now. My waxer left after purchasing (extremely pressured to do so by the way I’m sure they make a commission) a pack. I called and requested that I be refunded for the services I would not be using and they denied me. They will only give my money back in a gift card. This is how they treat their loyal customers. I was told when purchasing the pack that I could get a refund at any time. What they didn’t say is in the form of STORE CREDIT. They now have over $400 of my money and no intention of giving it back. The girl I spoke to Kayla also would not give me the name of the owner of the business to contact directly. So they are hiding behind their employees. Horrible company, and HORRIBLE management and ownership. I will be going to the BBB and Yelp and literally anywhere I can to help inform the public of their tactics. STAY AWAY!!!!!
