Equifax

The Business Of Making Itself Is Lrrelevant

Equifax should be trusted with credit information to prove creditworthiness (trustworthiness).

The company still gives away 143000000 Americans’ social security numbers and other private information.

They give it away because they don’t take security seriously.

Anyone can now apply for credit using the information of those people.

Other people may apply for credit from those individuals.

What’s the point in a credit bureau that doesn’t have accurate information.

This company seems to be in the business of being irrelevant.

Thank you for sharing my information.

It would help if you offered more than your company’s BS credit monitoring.

As if I could trust that this is the subsequent breach.

  1. this is nothing more than a forking greed driven money grab.

The creditworthiness assessment model in the US has been trashed. They have sold your information to credit card companies to get you to sign up for more credit and to make a commission for the ads that they show.
This is nothing but a greed-driven money grab. If you are a music major and your corp security chief, I have to ask you what you talk about at your corp meetings.

How to scam people, line the pockets of the uninformed, and keep the scam alive? You have lost my data, which you collected without my consent. I am coming after you in litigation. Small claims, class action, and any other possible court or the legal avenue. I hope that most people at the top end go to prison or never work again—shame on you.

  2. DO NOT CHOOSE SINGLE PARTY!!!

To allow my credit union pulls my credit report for an auto loan, I tried to lift the freeze on my credit. There are three options: Lift for one party to review, Lift for a date range or Permanently Lift. DON’T CHOOSE A SINGLE PARTY! It will tell you that your freeze has been lifted when you log in. The credit union failed to remove the freeze twice.
The letter that I received from Equifax Freeze did not contain this information. After I explained my situation to them, she said I had listed “single person” incorrectly. They also do not state that you will be mailed a letter within 5-10 business days. If you don’t want to wait three weeks for this letter or train your lender on how to log into Equifax Freeze, you may try it.

Then, she placed a date range hold on me and charged me $10 more! After I explained that there was no disclosure about the “single-party” process, she accused me of another $10! in 5 – 10 business days. But she insisted that I was wrong. It’s not worth fighting over $10

  3. Terrible company.

Terrible company. They incorrectly reported my credit score. Equifax displays a secured loan that has been open for eight years. You will be notified by the phone system that you have to confirm your identity.
Their website won’t allow me to open a dispute as it can’t verify me due to the questions about my account that have been closed. It took me 2 hours to realize that there is much more to be done to correct their errors.

  4. If I Could give them less than 1 star I would. They SUCK, SUCK SUCK!

I have spoken to them four times today. Over the last 3 hours, I have been transferred four times, hung up upon, and lied about several times. They are the only credit rating service that has not removed the fraudulent credit charge from my credit report after a fraudulent order was placed on it. They have contacted me at least three times and their regular reporting. Equifax claims they have never heard from them.
Verizon, the creditor, canceled my fraudulent account on the same day I spoke to them. They also emailed me and all three credit reporting agencies simultaneously. Verizon has been beneficial and went out of its way to help me. Equifax was rude and refused to allow me to speak with a supervisor several times.

Every time I speak with Equifax today, I hear a different story. Their erroneous reports are the only thing stopping me from applying for a small business loan. No one is willing or able to help.

Transunion and Experian were both professional and very helpful. Equifax is terrible and doesn’t care if someone has been a victim of fraud. I would give them fewer stars if I could. They are SUCKY!

  5. I will never use Equifax's online subscription products again.

I will not use Equifax’s online subscription services again. There is no way to cancel your subscription online. They force you to call the number. After you have navigated the menu, wait for your turn.
You can then give a significant amount of your personal information to an outsourced individual. You can cancel the subscription after reading the sales pitch and stating several times that your decision was made.

It was disappointing that I was an account holder six years ago to add security to my credit score. However, after having provided everything an identity theft victim needs and to be able to cancel my recurring payments, it is a button on the portal.
