Dr. Thomas W Dodson

My entire experience with Dr. Thomas Dodson is frustrating and evil. Only after 4 visits to his care, I decided not to ever consult him for any problem even if he happens to be the last doctor on this universe. In a course of 6 weeks, I completed a total of 4 visits and all of them were worthless.

First of all, being a Psychiatry isn’t an easy thing. You must relate to your patient’s misery and problems before suggesting any solutions to them. When I met him first, I was completely disappointed in him for using abusive words. He is not a professional who can ever be believed.

During the first consultation, he prescribed a high dosage medicine that had very harsh effect on my health. This is just the beginning. He like asking for too many medicines. Instead of listening to me and my problems, he cut the sessions short and charged me huge. Moreover, he prescribed every possible medication in his dictionary. Seroquel, Risperdal, Depakote and what not. This care provider is not at all trustworthy.

As the sessions gradually passed, he started turning more abusive. I felt as if I was dealing with an abusive spouse. When I asked him to offer an alternative help, he completely went mad at me. What kind of doctor reacts that way? I even remember talking to one of the patients on the phone while we were still in the session. He said that he does not take patients with medicare as they do not pay well.

These were the lines I remember clearly. He is not at all empathetic. Being a doctor is nothing less than holy hands. But, he is a complete opposite of what we know of this profession. You will never ever feel comfortable talking to him. He has every reason to blame you for your problems and would prescribe medicines that are not even necessary.

In my case, he even asked me to continue a medicine I had allergies with. I even told him that I was allergic to that medicine. To which, he had a very simple reasoning. What if, I was not. I had a medical certificate with names of the medicines I am allergic to. The combinations that are fatal to my health. It was prescribed my doctor in the other city when the allergies were at the peak.

But, Dr. Thomas did not care about any of that. All he wanted to make me vegetable and take all the harsh and high dosage of medicines down my throat without any questions and hesitations.

I do not remember a single instance in all those 6 weeks of time when he actually tried to help me or when I felt as if I am at the right place. I always felt overpowered by his rudeness. He is not a doctor. He is not even a professional. Degree cannot make anyone a good doctor and he is the perfect example of that.
