Found Dr. Shashwati Kale through the Aetna website. I decided to make an appointment due to the good reviews, in high hopes of making this my primary doctor.
I also was willing to wait till the next available appointment which the reception said wasn’t until 2 weeks from when I called.
The day of my appointment I came in and sandy who I’m assuming is a medical assistant or receptionist told me since I did not have my medical card on hand that I could not be seen.
Due to the fact that I misplaced it I made sure to bring my Drivers license and was willing to provide them with any information need such as social security number etc but she said that would not suffice and I could not be seen.
I have never experienced an issue like this and it is very frustrating.
I know in the past once, I had forgotten my medical card they just asked for my ss# , called the provider and then got whatever info it is that they needed to process a claim
It really just seemed to me that Sandy either lacked the training she should be required to known in order to do her job in the first place, acting like that wouldn’t have been an option.
She didn’t even have a list of health insurance providers number she asked me to get it.
I’m actually positive she was being lazy it’s like what are you really there to do? Just sit and answer calls? Sometimes situations like this occur where things get misplaced and all I’m saying as part of her job she should be trained to handle such situations so that patients can receive he help and treatment they made need coming in.
I am really disappointed in this practice and definitely would like people to know before making an appointment to be aware of the poor service Sandy at the front desk will be providing, it just seems to me that it should be a self check in service with the way I was treated and that with no knowledge of how to do her job, it is pointless for her to even been employed there.
