Dr. Robert Minkowsky

Wasn't Impressed By Dr. Robert Minkowsky

First off, if they are out of network don’t go, unless you want to have a fat bill.

I had a consultation, about 30 mins $400, insurance covered $16, not cool and I have pretty good insurance.

Wasn’t impressed by Dr. Robert Minkowsky, he listened went through the motions, he kept on talking about conservative approach which I could tell meant we will have lots of appointments.

He tried to get me to take prednisone to reduce inflammation, but prednisone is a pretty nasty drug and is not conservative approach.

He is old school, which is not always bad, but their office won’t communiate with email and the whole prednisone approach is outdated and dangerous.

  1. I recommend Dr. Minkowsky quite highly!

After an accident over 10 years ago that left this veteran 15 year runner of marathons unable to run….and 14 chiropractors and other doctors in that time…I finally found a doctor that has helped me feel better.

I have a chronic back condition – there isn’t a “cure” but I have gone from seeing a chiropractor 2-3x/week to seeing Dr. Minkowsky every other week – and I am running again – not as fast as I used to but back out there.

He is the best back specialist I have found and I have seen more than a dozen in this city – most of whom wanted to engage in a treatment that increased my dependence on them rather than having me work on things and actually feel better. I recommend Dr. Minkowsky quite highly!

  2. He is my favorite Doctor.

DR. Minkowsy is the kind of Dr; i didn’t think existed any more. He helped me avoid unnecessary spinal surgery. I’m 88 and am able to walk up 64 steps & walk on the treadmill. I am extremely grateful for his expertise, kindness and care. He is my favorite Doctor.

  3. I came to see Irene after hearing good things.

I came to see Irene after hearing good things. Instead I got Bob, who misdiagnosed me and sent me on a wild goose chase. When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail; when all you have is a physiatry background, even straighforward tendinitis in the hands must look like a complex musculo-skeletal issue.

An expensive, useless course of PT and excercises could have been avoided if I’d gone on WebMD and looked at my symptoms. A colossal failure for Mr. Minkowsky and a real let-down; I thought doctors were scientists.

This could have only happened if this man has some gross inaccuracies about how the human body works, and he doesn’t know enough to ask. Nice enough guy but FAIL.
