Dr. Jacob Johnson

The Customer Service

I called for an appointment to see Dr. Jacob Johnson due to vertigo I am experiencing.

Prior to seeing me, he’d want me to take a hearing test first following my appointment with Dr. Johnson.

However, I had to call his office to inform them that I am running late due to heavy traffic coming from the EastBay, and they said it’s fine.

So I finally arrived at the Dr’s office 20 minutes late, checked in and paid my copayment.

While I was filling out some medical forms the receptionist came and told me that they won’t be able to give me the hearing test and I need to reschedule my appointment on some other day, after spending 2 1/2 hours on the road.

My husband and I were so disappointed and told them that’s not acceptable, and we left the doctor’s office.

On our way out we realized that they just took the copayment without seeing me.

We had called and asked them a few times to reverse the charge but they just ignored us.

I am sorry but was not impressed with the customer service.

  1. I echo all the raves on this list!

I am just 18 hours out of surgery with dr Johnson and can’t rave enough. After 12 years of chronic throat/systemic infections we decided to remove one tonsil. Everything about dealing with this wise and generous doctor was superb including his taking a call at home at 9 pm last night from caregiver regarding some post op questions.

I am experiencing far less pain than anticipated and I know if there are complications he will help me deal with them. I am 58 and have only had one surgery abt 32 years ago so was pretty anxious. Being in dr johns competent care made the whole experience easier and empowering. I echo all the raves on this list!

  2. Very disappointed and certainly won't be back.

This doctor came highly recommended by my friend and I made an appointment with that in mind. My wife setup an appointment with Dr.Johnson 4 weeks in advance. On the day of an appointment, we came to the doctor’s office at least 25 minutes earlier.

We filled out all the paperwork. While we were waiting, two nurses came out and said that the doctor is in the surgery and we can come back 3 hours later. This is not an emergency heart clinic or anything. Surgeries are set up ahead of time.

The nurses told us that they “called and left a message on my phone”. No one ever did. That was a complete lie. I’ve never received any phone calls. This is no way to treat a new patient. Completely inconsiderate, unprofessional, and inexcusable. Very disappointed and certainly won’t be back.

  3. They are horrible.

And then they billed my insurance fraudulently for a procedure that was never performed.

Stay away from Gabby and Bianca in surgery scheduling. They are horrible.
Dr. Johnson was nice, but his staff is awful.
