Dr. Andrew Barnett

Real Bad Turkey Neck

Good with the eyes but be careful. When I initially went in about my eyes, Dr. Andrew Barnett quickly focused on my chin and did something different there – took out way too much fat and now I look 30 years older from the chin down – real bad turkey neck.

I see it every time I look in the mirror – makes me VERY self conscious.

Be careful to tell Dr. Andrew Barnett the day before the procedure if you do not wish any students to be involved in the operation (not even to observe!).

What he did with me was ask me on the morning of the procedure, after I was already doped up and too out of it… Sometimes I have to wonder if the Asian student was the one who removed too much fat from my neck… I’ll never know… Now I have to save up another $10,000 to get this fixed 🙁

  1. I went under the arm for my incision and my scars are almost gone.

I had breast augmentation surgery in January. I went from an 32A to a 32DD and absolutely LOVE the way they turned out! They are natural and fit my body perfectly! I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome and the choice I made going to Dr. Barnett.

I went under the arm for my incision and my scars are almost gone. They healed so quickly and you can barely tell I had surgery. I would absolutely recommend going to Dr. Barnett to anyone that is looking to have breast augmentation.

  2. I highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Barnett’s for many years. He is always professional and very diligent. He has never pressed me to have work done. If anything he has told me that I could wait or didn’t need some treatments I asked about.

Most recently I had a neck and lower facelift, brow lift and eyelid surgery. I am 7 weeks post surgery and I could not be happier with the results or the service provided by Dr. Barnett and his office.

The surgery itself was significant and Dr. Barnett insisted I spend the night in the hospital with a private nurse, which turned out to be a good idea. Recovery, especially swelling, has taken some time to fully resolve but the outcome is excellent and I’m delighted with how I look now.

Dr. Barnett is a real gentleman with a wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend him.

  3. Not sure why my last review disappeared

Not sure why my last review disappeared, but I had such a good experience I wanted to post again. Hopefully this one stays. I was never happy with the size of my breasts so I scheduled consultations with a few surgeons in the city.

It was a close tie when I first made my decision, but now that it’s all over I could not be happier with Dr. Barnett. The results are amazing, and the entire process was pretty painless given it was an invasive surgery. Not that there wasn’t pain, but I expected that and Dr. B made sure I knew what was going on at every step. Definitely recommended.

  4. Bad Service Provide

I found Dr. Barnett about 10yrs ago. He came highly recommended by another doctor. I had several surgeries performed and I made the HUGE mistake in assuming that one doctor was capable of doing every thing.

I must give credit that he did/does a beautiful job on neck and face lift surgery (as others have mentioned). Which is the only surgery I planned having done. This is where it ends.

He told me he could “fix” my nose also. I consulted with him about my expectations on what I wanted done on my nose and asked if it was reasonable. I wanted the tip refined and absolutely didn’t want the “ski slope” look . He said yes, yes, can do……..sadly, the outcome was a huge disappointment. The tip turned out bulbous and the bridge was sloped………ugh!!!!! He responded by saying, “the skin on the bridge had to go somewhere”………duh, why didn’t he tell me that BEFORE surgery!

He also performed a chin implant (smallest size) and damaged some nerves in the area which resulted in a crooked smile. I lost my big, huge smile that I loved so much.

Most of the after care instructions were focused on my face/neck lift. Which were painless and went smoothly I was sent home with very little information on what to expect regarding the nose and chin surgery.

When I told Dr. Barnett about my disappointments………he blamed me.
I am a fairly easy going person, non-confrontational and regret being so passive towards Dr. Barnett. I’m hoping his techniques for nose, chin and eye work have improved since 2001 and there weren’t any other “guinea pigs” that were left as disappointed as I was.

  5. Scammer

Let the pictures of the lypo he did speak for themselves!

  6. Learn the easy way and go somewhere that respects you and your time!

I left a meeting across town early to make my appointment on time, organized child care to make my appointment on time and paid for parking in the city to make my appointment on time. This place was going to see me an hour late and didn’t even have the decency to call me and inform me the nurse was running way behind so that I could make my own decision about whether it made sense to come.

Turns out it didn’t. Wasted trip downtown, wasted childcare and wasted parking. The worst part? No one from the office ever even apologized. No one apologized while i was there and no one called to apologize and figure out how they could rectify the situation.

If the communication is this bad in general, I would be very wary of trying to communicate about major body changes. Sounds like some of the other reviewers learned the hard way. Learn the easy way and go somewhere that respects you and your time!

  7. Worst customer service EVER!

Worst customer service EVER!!! i scheduled an appointment with a nurse in the office three weeks out. When I arrive, I fill out the usual paperwork and sit down. I begin a conversation with a woman who is there with her two young children.

She informs me she’s been waiting for 45 minutes already! Half an hour after my appointment time, I ask the receptionist if she has any idea when i will be seen. Her reply was, “No…I really don’t…it’s going to be at least another 15 minutes.

She’s been running way behind.” Meaning, it was going to be at least another 15 minutes before the woman who had already waited 45 minutes was going to be seen! Clearly then, it was going to be much longer before I was seen. I told the receptionist she could have called me to let me know so I could have decided whether I could still come or not. Her reply was, “yeah…” Really?!? I asked for my paperwork back and left the office.

  8. Now I have to save up another $10,000 to get this fixed

  9. If you value your time, beware.

If you are scheduled with Dr. Barnett’s nurse, Jessica Freidman, run for the hills! She does not respect patient’s time and frequently makes patients wait for 40+ minutes without apology. If you value your time, beware.
