After we selected the bedroom set and ordered it at Coleman furniture, it all began. We were told that the delivery would be made in a week. We had just shifted from a new place and had to do everything again. The house that we purchased needed so much other furniture. But we started with the bedroom set.

I am a working mother and have two children. The house is on loan, and there are so many other responsibilities I have to take care of. When we heard that the company is decent, we wanted to make sure that the prices were reasonable. When checking the bedroom set, we had to go a little extra from the set budget because we liked the design so much.

However, it all turned out to be a horrible experience. First of all, the furniture did not arrive on time. The cupboard twice had a dent, and the entire order could not be sent because of that issue. The delivery center told us that the closet was damaged during the shipping, and that was why the delivery was canceled in between twice.

After a month, when there was no delivery, I contacted the delivery center again. They said that the cupboard is still in process. But the bed and side table were okay, and if Coleman approves the split delivery, those two can be processed. To this, I called these guys and checked if something like this could be done.

However, my request was denied. They did not even care to apologize for the delay. All they said that we do not prefer split delivery as it takes extra human resources and cost to send the items twice to the same address.

Later, after weeks of calling them, I received my order in 45 days. I thought it was all well when it ended well. But it was not the end. The bed and the cupboard were damaged. This was not because of the shipping, though there were bubbles on the furniture. The mattress also started breaking from places after a week of use.

I called customer care, and they told me that they would replace everything but for an extra cost. And, I was shocked to hear that amount. They said that they would charge me another $700 for doing everything. Moreover, I did not know the kind of stuff they would send the second time.

I did not want to use anything from their store. So, I asked for a refund and requested that they take their stuff out of my place. But they refused.

After the bed was installed, I sent them the pictures of the bubbled furniture through email and on the phone. I wanted to talk to the supervisor, but he never answered the phone. I was told that they do not work that way. They had sent me something that I won’t be able to use anymore. They even said that it was my fault that the bed broke. It isn’t true.

We did not even use that bed for a week as we wanted it to be exchanged for another one. It does not have mattresses on it. It is precisely the way it was before. Broken and not at all in a condition to be used. The cracks on the bed started to occur on their own. Or, they may have been there just started looking more prominent. Whatever the reason was, it was their responsibility to get me the kind of stuff I paid for.

My budget is minimal. I am on loans and have been taking care of my kids alone. I have got no one to support me. There is nothing much I can do to get a new one for me. I cannot even sell this filth to anyone else. It won’t get me $500 if I try to sell the entire set.

These problems were too much, and they even refused to help me. I even tried to place my reviews on their website, but those were deleted. I believe they do not like to hear the truth. Moreover, I checked the other places to find more reviews about the company and checked that Coleman furniture has a history of cheating clients. I was no different.

I am sure they are not planning to give back my refund. I also know they can do nothing for the bedroom set to mend it as it’s entirely made of garbage. I cannot get it fixed because it would cost me heaven as it needs every piece changed.

And, I do not have that time and money to get a new one for me. Repairing is out of the question. So, I am stuck with this bed inside my room, waiting for someone from Coleman to come and take away this scrap. I may have to throw it away for nothing if I don’t.

But the way these guys have cheated me, it seems that they already are experienced in accomplishing such fraud. There is no way I will ever order my furniture from them. These guys are crooks, and everyone working with them has no empathy for anyone. I am sure what they show to the customer is not accurate. They do not deliver what they promise. These people are scumbags. Sorry for the language, but nothing decent can explain them better.

I have cried so much after realizing that I am in such a big problem. I have no bed in my house, I cannot go anywhere, my job is hectic, and I am completely stressed. The money that I saved for the furniture is all gone. I may have to wait a few more months to afford such furniture. But these guys won’t go spare.

I will keep calling them until they provide a resolution to me.

    WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A FURNITURE COMPANY EVER!!! Just moved into a new home & wanted to invest in a few quality pieces for the house. Purchased an extendable dining room table for almost $2,000. Upon delivery the leaves were not installed (as I requested) but laid on the carpet face down. I took a good look at leaves & noticed both had some damage to them. Driver had already left but I called right away since their policy states anything reported within 24 hrs would be handled. Called multiple times with no answer. I left a detailed message & requested a call back. After speaking with a rep & sending pics of damage I was told there was nothing they could do. Asked if they could just send replacement leaves & the answer was no. Was told my ONLY OPTION was to take a $75 payment to use for a furniture technician to fix. They gave me a phone # & guaranteed that the amount would cover such services to ‘bring it back to 100% manufacturer’s standard’.
    Reached out to the furniture technician & they took weeks to finally tell me that it would be $65 just to come to my house & could be anywhere around $300 to fix the leaves. I shared this with Coleman rep who told me because I agreed to take the $75 there was nothing they could do?!?!?!?! Blasted them with an email & asked to speak to a supervisor who could take care of this & got a muffled message/email stating the same thing.
    This is the worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my entire life for a very expensive piece of furniture! They back you into a corner without any option but ONE & then tell you it’s on you & there’s nothing they can do because you chose that option at the time, you know, when you thought the rep wasn’t lying & the repairs would be made. Utter & complete dishonesty, excuses & blame & overall shameful business practices are what Coleman Furniture is all about. Stay away!!! Buyer Beware!!!

    I purchased a wall unit for my home for $1,049. It was poorly constructed and of extremely cheap material. When I contacted the company to return, they charge 15% plus $738 in delivery fees! This company is conducting poor business practices, and I would advise any potential buyer to stay away from this online retailer! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Notice how they don’t have Google reviews? They are a shady company!

    Know the products, research everything, and unless you’ve seen it in person and know you like it, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY

    I bought a chest of drawers off of this company. I was called by the delivery company and told the day of delivery. They showed up early so I was still at work. They stated that they had drove from Tampa and needed to get back so they asked if I could get a neighbor to come and accept delivery. I did get a neighbor to do this. When I got home, I could see that the chest of drawers was the wrong color. I have the same furniture in my bedroom but mistakenly picked the wrong color when I was ordering. If I was home, I could have seen this and declined delivery.

    I called the company soon after, which was within the return time. I told them that I made the mistake and that I knew I would have to pay some kind of penalty. I paid a total of 1063.58 with free shipping. When I called to get a resolution the customer service reps were not helpful at all and appeared to try to want to upset me. I can deal with that since it is hard to get good employees these days and it is obvious this company has horrible employees.

    The problem that I have is that I paid a total of 1063.58. Coleman Furniture wants to charge a 149.10 restocking fee and then 618.00 for shipping. So out of the 1063.58 that I paid for this chest of drawers, they only want to refund 296.48. I made the mistake and knew I would have to pay a penalty but to only get 296.48 back is a total rip off. I tried to reason with them and stated that I would be buying the correct color so they would make money off of that transaction as well as they would be delivering the new chest of drawers so they could pick up the return item so not to make a special trip to just pick up the returned item. They would not accommodate me at all.
