Chase JP Morgan Bank Credit Card Se...

The Expensive Annual Fee.

Ouch! That’s how I feel after getting off of my call with a credit card dispute.

I have been Chase JP Morgan Bank Credit Card Services card holder and member for several years now.

I read their website and it mentioned claims will be handled within 5-10 business days.

I must admit I am quick so I thought the first month was enough time but no.

It has been nearly three months since I filled my claim.

Overall, I have spent , literally, days on the phone to resolve this issue with no resolution.

There has been many guarantees and time frames to call back.

No solution. As a student, my time and funds are valuable. The whole process has been quite vexing.

This company seems not to care for their customers even though having their Sapphire Card cost a few hundred as an annual fee.

With this level of service and card, I do not recommend getting the Chase Sapphire Reserve card.

Get the Uber Visa card if possible. It has almost all the benefits without the expensive annual fee.

  1. CONSUMERS BEWARE!

CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! Chase closed my credit card account on May 31st without any notice! They didn’t even bother to notify me after the fact! I was left to find out on my own when I received an email from another company notifying me that my automatic payment was denied.

Frantically I logged in to my Chase account to find out what happened and to my surprise my account was closed. I immediately called Chase to find out why they closed my account, thinking it must be a mistake, and was told I would need to call back in the morning to speak with a supervisor.

I spoke with a supervisor this morning and the only reason he could give me for the closure was “it was in the best interest of the bank at this time” meaning either they weren’t making enough money off of me or they no longer wanted to honor the terms of my contract. I’ve had the card since 2007, use it frequently, have always paid on time, my account is in good standing and I only had an approx. balance of $700 (which is now paid in full). All my other accounts with other banks etc are also in good standing and I have good credit.

I also checked my credit reports to make sure nothing fishy was going on there. I’m in shock that a company as big as Chase would treat a long time loyal customer this way! I received absolutely no notice before or after and was left hanging out to dry. They just lost a 10 year customer for life!!!

  2. Chase is very stingy with their credit lines.

Chase is very stingy with their credit lines. They rely way too much on TransUnion. I had numerous hard pulls on my report i was unaware of and Chase punished me for it. They should consider real-life experiences between account holders and creditors.

I have a very high limit with Amex and an excellent relationship of 16 years. Chase would only give me $3000 line when i have a $380,000 limit with Amex.Chase and Citi are the stingiest and i have an excellent though brief history with them.

  3. I am going to use my points and cancel my credit card.

I have had a credit card with Chase for about 20 years. Their customer service used to be pretty good. Recently I used my points to rent a car. When I go to the airport it was a 2-3 hr wait for the car and I had to go to a conference. The woman at customer service for Chase Rewards told me to go ahead and rent any other car and they would cover it with the same amount of points. The rental was $1000 and they are refusing to cover it.

I have spent 3 hours on the phone with them and they admit that they told me it would be covered, but that the woman should not have told me that. Even though she checked with a supervisor, they say she was wrong.
I asked to file a complaint and they told me a supervisor would call me to take my complaint. A week later, no one has called me.

They have been incredibly difficult to deal with and I think this is their tactic to keep as much profit as they can. I am going to use my points and cancel my credit card.

  4. the managers are completely incompetent.

three horrific experiences with three different (older, asian) managers at this branch. i just joined yelp specifically to “yelp” about this branch in particular, despite being a lifetime chase customer from out of state. they’re fine if you only interact with them through an atm – don’t ever try to do any kind of business account transaction here or any of their peripheral services – the managers are completely incompetent.

  5. Don't trust them.

Chase Bank, Chase Credit Card Company is the WORST company to do business with. Don’t trust them. They don’t have your best interest in mind. And, when they screw you, they’ll give you the run around and “it ain’t my department” philosophy for customer service.

  6. Which is my recommendation to you!

Chase Bank is a fraudulent institution!!!! they add terms on to your loan after you receive a loan. we got a cash advance and was charged 3% fee at the time of the advance. the program was a zero interest for one year of the advance.

The following month we saw a 30.00 fee that we were charged and when we called about the 30.00 they couldn’t explain it so took the 30.00 off. the next month we received 36.00 fee and were told that there is a DAILY interest if %16.99 variable rate charged on any new purchases! we were VERY careful to ask all questions on the phone with the agent,

when we received the advance, regarding about what rates would be and if there was any additional fees or costs and this RIDICULOUS interest rate was NEVER mentioned. Were canceling our cards and will NEVER USE CHASE AGAIN. WHich is my recommendation to you!

  7. Bad Service

There is absolutely no benefit to me for changing from a Visa to a Mastercard. NONE. All this does for me is make me have to go into everyone of my travel related accounts and change the CC on file and notify every company that does an automatic charge to my account. I hope you are getting something out of this, because frankly a new credit card design doesn’t really do it for me.

  8. They lied to me and would not even level with me about what happened.

This required an expert opinion along with other expenses which cost over $1000. My two experts (one of which assisted me in undoing the harm of the original provider) completely backed what I had told chase to begin with- But – and their phone reps gave me a hint this had happened Chase had already ruled in favor of the provider.

Chase led me to believe that if I succeeded in proving that my point was valid that I would prevail. They lied to me and would not even level with me about what happened.

  9. Bad Service

Yet when I present my experience in dealing with Chases appeals process where I was literally screwed by Chase after contesting a charge- they relegate my comments to less than desirable status and dont include it in the rating process???

  10. rude is an understatement.

chase costumer service for credit cards has been the worst service i have ever encountered. i never write reviews but the outright disrespect that i had to deal with these people was beyond ridiculous.

rude is an understatement. to the lady who i was on the phone i am sorry you hate your job but please learn manners. if you dont like your job then quit. she acted as if i was bothering her by calling. i refuse to ever get a card from these

  12. Definitely worth taking a Chase credit card!!!!

After a week are so, i saw that a card was added to my chase profile and the credit limit was low. so i called the bank, they asked me to call the credit card number on the card and they would do that for me, but for i didn’t get my card until then. i called customer service, they said in order to at a look at the credit limit increase they need to pull my credit score again. i explained the situation and what the banker said. the customer service guy said he could not do anything with out pull my credit report which would mean another credit inquiry.

Dejected i left the issue there, but i did not receive my card even next week. so i called customer service again, this time he said that the card has been returned and the account has been cancelled. Definitely worth taking a Chase credit card!!!!

  13. i went to this branch to deposit a check.

i went to this branch to deposit a check. While i was there an employee asked me about pre-screened offer for a chase freedom card. i said i did not want a card with a very low credit limit.

The employee assured me that with my profile they see that i would get a good credit limit. so i agreed and they applied the card for me then and their. she also said if the limit was very low that i would come back and she would make it work to increase the limit.
