We had a loan with Canvas Credit Union – Arvada Branch on a truck which we unfortunately totaled – they got paid by our insurance company The Hartford – and then the balance was covered by our Gap Insurer – JM&A (Jim Moran & Associates).

JM&A sent out a check 09/07 and PSCU cashed it on 09/21 and PSCU says they do not have it.

JM&A can’t send copy of check as they are too busy due to floods and hurricanes which is understandable.

Do not understand why PSCU cannot locate a check when we give them the check number and amount.

Meanwhile since they have cashed the check they have taken two more truck payments out of my bank account.

JM&A said we should be getting back any extra from what they were sent.

PSCU has been no help, unfriendly, keep saying contact JM&A it is their job to prove – no PSCU should be giving better customer service.

I WILL NEVER FINANCE A VEHICLE WITH THEM AGAIN! I am also sending info to the BBB – maybe they can get the CU to give us some customer service.

We have been dealing with the Arvada location near where we live.

  1. I don’t have a car so I walk where ever I have to go. I walked my 2 1/2 miles to the Arvada 80th & Wadsworth branch to cash a $75.00 check just like I have been doing for three times a month for the last 5 years. A girl came to the door and told me they were closed. I told her that me and my 92 year old mother are completely out of food. She asked me to use my ATM card. I don’t have an ATM card! She said another option I have is to go to another one of their branches to cash my check. I’m not going to walk over a 10 miles round trip to go to another branch. At 62 years of age no thanks. SO THANKS CANVAS CREDIT UNION FOR YOUR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, we have no food now what….Rick Beasley Arvada, Colorado

  2. I had my account for less than a week and closed it.

    I had my account for less than a week and closed it. Nothing was right. Unable to log onto account online. Very slow service on a loan application. Very slow to respond to inquiries. Credit Union of Denver vastly superior. No problems with log ins or questions. Loan processed in less than 24 hours.

    Don’t go here, especially if you’re utilizing another credit union through them
