Been to er a few times, first visit I was impressed.
Second visit was terrible, had to sit in waiting room in a gown while in a ridiculous amount of pain and having to go to bathroom every 5 minutes I ended up leaving after 4 hours waiting I just felt like I’d rather be uncomfortable and in pain at home that in an awkward waiting room and nothing being done.
The third time I was with my family member, he waited to been seen by a doc for a few hours then ended up having emergency surgery.
Tonight we got her at 400am nurse said she just needed a room to be cleaned, then we waited for an hour in a waiting room and now we’ve been sitting in the room for almost an hour and haven’t seen anyone.
I know that you can never predict er wait times, or what is going to come through that door, and by no means is this issue any more important that anyone else’s.
But I do think that patients should be updated on delays and be reminded they aren’t forgotten… time delays most certainly can be addressed.
This ER needs some help. Sincerely- one tired momma. P.s. this room was obviously not cleaned…
