Arkansas Federal Credit Union

The staff seemed to have a nasty attitude towards me.

Same exact thing happened to me me Rachel S. It was good banking experience with the Arkansas Credit Union I have been with them since 2003 in 2017 they sent out notices in forming customers that they would be renovating their website when they did I had no access to my online banking for 2 months.

If I wanted a statement i would physically go in side the bank and would literally be told that I can go online and retrieve a bank statement

When I had absolutely no access to it the staff seemed to have a nasty attitude towards me.

when I was finally able to get access to my account I was told that I was no longer a member that I only had access to the act because my mom was on the acct and that is exactly how I was treated

I had frivolous charges through out the 2mths so much so I had to end up shutting the checking act down because they refuse to fix the mistakes that.

They made they fixed my act where my ATM nor Debit card would work I went through this for about 3 months

I guess the wanted me to finally give up and take money else where so I did I now have a major bank that I trust with my major money.

  1. Incompetence and stupid member service on email

Someone recently stole my card number and used it in the middle of the night. I found out and contacted them by calling. I was put on hold for a long time, and I didn’t have the time to be on hold, so I emailed them. I told the staff that someone had used my card and was charged 2x—each time 200.

I got a reply. Are you sure? Your debit card charged those. My response is yes. Please cancel my card, and I want to dispute those two charges.

I got a reply. Are you sure? If you are, go into a branch or call us. I replied and said I would go to a department. I did and obtained a new card.

After that, I again told them to dispute the two charges for me. Since this was my third communication to them, please discuss the charges. You would think someone would be smart enough to figure out that I am serious. Well, brain dead employee asked me if I am sure I didn’t use my card at that time.

I believe I gave them enough chances to figure out that there’s a problem with the account. From my family, there are five accounts combined. Maybe time to leave these brain-dead zombies. If they are that dumb, could I trust them with my money? Time to rethink my accounts.

  2. Incompetence abounds.

This is the most inept bunch of mental midgets ever. Sent me an offer for a auto refinance but only wanted to refinance part of the loan payoff. Incompetence abounds.

  3. Please avoid this place and save yourself a huge headache.

These people are horrible in terms of granting loans. They are too small to risk even a few thousand dollars without asking for a cosigner, despite there being enormous evidence that the borrower has 3 times the amount of money as the loan they are requesting in their own bank account. They make up ridiculous excuses for why they want a cosigner. Please avoid this place and save yourself a huge headache.

  4. I am dissolving all my accounts because they are not in the business to helping people of color.

I was a customer with AFCU, but now I am dissolving all my accounts with them. I applied for a loan with them and they denied based on false information. Finally after receiving a call because I told them they discriminate against certain members, I was explained why they denied the loan. The information they had was incorrect info.

Even though, I told them all the information they were going by was incorrect and I had paperwork to prove it. They did not even consider reviewing the information. I even had a credit card with them and that was paid on good judgement. I am dissolving all my accounts because they are not in the business to helping people of color.

  5. We are going elsewhere.

I have been with them for 15 years. Ever since they changed systems out has gone down hill. Customer service is impossible to reach. Cards being blocked for unknown reasons, systems always being down, cancellation of the shared banking program. We are going elsewhere.

  6. pulling my money out on Monday and going to a better bank.

Worst day. So card was working fine and then it stopped at 6PM on a Friday so called the 1800 number and nothing they can do. I was working half way around the world and had a credit union in Alaska that was able to help me but this crappy bank in Arkansas couldn’t help someone that was in the same state as them. Its garbage and I wouldn’t recommend it to any service member. pulling my money out on Monday and going to a better bank.
