It is very shameful for an established service company like Air

We have been using this company for HVAC maintenance of our three zone system. Over the years the technician scammed us and extracted money for unwanted service which they create while on the service visit.
The latest incident was making replace a HVAC unit which perhaps required some minor repair, such charging the gas / refrigerant or replace a condenser which is burn out. The company made us buy an expensive unit made by Carrier model Infinity 2.5 tonne which costed over $7,500. This unit had ten year warranty. This week we noticed water leaking from the unit and damaged the ceiling and we were forced to switch of the system. When the technician came to fix the problem, he said the water collecting tray got rusted and leaking and need replacement at the cost of $340. Apparently when the new system installed two years back, they were supposed to install new unit with new tray and new switches etc. But they used the old tray so that they can come back charge more money later to fix it.
This company runs large scale scam by forcing the home owner to buy new unit where they gain substantially. Recently on a regular maintenance trip the technician warned other two units new replace soon. But when we checked with another company, we are told those units are good for another few more years. This is how this company cheats the home owners and make more money for them in unethical way. No one should trust this company to do HVAC unit replace the or any kind of maintenance work.

An update. Air 1 technician misdiagnosed the problem of water getting accumulated and leaks to the ceiling and recommended to replace the tray at a cost of $341. When I called another company, the technician found out that the real problem of water filling the tray was due to primary drainage connected to the HVAC unit was clogged. He unclogged the drainage and the problem solved with minimal effort. Air 1 has incompetent technicians who only know to scam the customer and not fix the problem. It is very shameful for an established service company like Air 1.

    I wanted the part so that I have the part’s information and plan to call the manufacturer later. The technician finished the installation and was working with my husband on testing out the new part.

    Then he got a call from the operation manager (or the boss?), and looked scared. He removed the installed part and hurried to leave.

    Outstanding customer service! Fernando was friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of my house. He explained the different options for replacing my AC unit and worked with me on the price.

    Their price beat competitor’s by around $2K. I have one more quote today from another competitor, but so far I am def. leaning in their direction to get the work done.

    Not the greatest experience I’ve every had took forever to get ahold of when they finally came out they had a huge attitude with me and my wife didn’t were protective booties did a good job fixing the leak but just didn’t hold there self upright to me

    I called them for heating problem, they first book an appointment for the same day and then called again said the technician can come even before that time ( which was great for me).

    The technician was very kind, explaining every detail (I am alien to this subject and even I understood perfectly what was wrong with the heating).

    I wrote the same review on google, and the response from the operation manager is really disturbing. He accused me being rude and disrespect/threatening the technician.

    First of all, Mr operation manager, I didn’t talk or interact with the technician. He was working on the unit outside the house, and only interact with my husband. If I was shouting and threatening him, you can come and ask the neighbor’s kids that were playing outside.

    She (the customer service lady) got spooked when I asked that I want the faulty part back. The main reason was the Customer Service lady (i think her name is Bahar) kept telling me that the manufacturer does not provide warranty for the part. I wanted the part so that I have the part’s information and plan to call the manufacturer later.

    Had them install a new AC system 2 years ago and everything went smoothly and has been since. Last night our heater stopped working, I called at 7am this morning, they were out checking it out by 1pm.

    A part needed cleaning. Fast, courteous and reasonably priced service. I paid the 79 for my visit today and signed up for an annual cleaning that will start this summer and include next winter. Great service. Thank you.

  8. I didn't buy it, buy maybe I should have.

    I’ve used these guys more than once. Once for my heater in the dead of winter, and once for my a/c, in mid-August. Reasonably priced. I hate to pay to have things fixed in my house, but I can’t trouble shoot my hvac systems.

    Within 30 minutes of my call a technician was here and within another 30 minutes the system was fixed. Luckily this time it wasn’t a complete system failure, a simple part fixed the problem.

    Fernando and Mark from Air One have been terrific over the years of service that they’ve provided to our heating and AC systems. Service visits are scheduled quickly and repair/maintenance is always fast and efficient. Prices are reasonable and we can depend on their quality work.
