I had a primary doctor at Adventist Health Medical Office – Oakhurst. He didn’t talk with me, he sat at the computer asked me questions and hardly looked at me.
I answered one of his questions, saying I had a neuroma removed on my foot, he asked me what a neuroma was.
You would think a family physician would know that. The office staff is unprofessional and and not trained.
For example, I call for an appointment follow up after my trip to the emergency room, for a referral.
The person says to me over the phone, that’s going to be a problem, one shouldn’t say that to someone who needs a specialist referral and surgery.
The referral coordinator sent me to an out of network doctor.
Humana won’t pay for an out of network doctor and I have to pay for services for a consultation. My surgery was cancelled.
It was already 3 weeks, then I find out before Memorial Day weekend the IPA didn’t have a hand surgeon in the network.
I had to scramble to find another Primary care physician in a different network, before June 1, or gamble and stay in and be denied again.
I changed my PCP, and provider network and got out of there and not going back. Don’t go here.
