STAY AWAY. Advantis Credit Union is such a headache when it comes to loans.

There are also hidden fees so even if they have the lowest rate it still may not be the cheapest even if you don’t have a nightmare experience like I did.

I’m currently going after them for all the B.S. Put me through on something I was pre-approved on.

They literally ended up costing me thousands of extra and then still screwed me over in the end.

Then they told  to remove this review. Guess what it’s back and I wonder how many other bad reviews they made go away.

I guess wouldn’t remove my review twice. That’s why they had to comment on it.

And for the record I was already complaining to Casey about the bait and switch loan practices of this house of scams.

    We just met with Amy to add my wife to my account and were extremely impressed with the reception we received. She was friendly and helpful. I have never had a better experience with a financial institution that I have with Advantis.

    The staff at the Belmont branch have made my banking experience a positive one and this particular incident was no different. Great job Amy and great job Advantis, as usual!!!

    I was a member of Pace first. The change to Advantis only increased my positive view of this financial institution. I have been a member for at least 20 years and have enjoyed their growth in services. Their online banking is the best!

  5. I love this credit union!

    I love this credit union!, I had Wells Fargo since, and they never valued me, or even would approve small loans like under 1000! Every time WF would mess up my accounting I’m the one that paid for their mistakes.

    Advantis might not be perfect, I wasn’t approved for a medium size loan, but they also have helped me out with covering a rent check that I was short on, and just paid the overdraft fee of 25, which is nothing compared to the liberal abuse of WF and their fees!

    I would like to say thank you to Samantha, she is a supervisor at Advantis. I was having issues and was getting very frustrated. After some phone calls were made, she was able to help and fix all my issues I was having.

    I’m updating this to 3 stars because I would like to take a wait and see attitude regarding future transactions before I update it to 5 stars. Maureen and Jason at Advantis both contacted me over the last couple days to address the late fee issue and miscommunication regarding the timing of automatic payments on my auto loan.

    I had an opportunity to discuss the situation at length with Jason Holmes and he clearly values their clients and took corrective action to reverse the additional fees.

    I really appreciate the acknowledgement that individuals matter to their business and the attention to detail in addressing an issue when it arises. That is what ought to separate a credit union from a big commercial bank. I hope Advantis gives him a raise!

  8. Don't really know why they turned me down.

    When I called on the phone, I was told this credit union would accept everyone who applied. I was referred to this place by a friend so I came in and applied. I was turned down due to my credit rating. But my credit rating is pretty normal. No unpaid bills, or collections items.. etc. Don’t really know why they turned me down.

    I recently called to inquire about a car loan that I have through Advantis Credit Union and the customer agent that was assisting me answered my question but i wanted to talk to the loan specialist. She put me on hold or she thought she did and started talking to some one (I believe it was the loan specialist) and started saying some rude comments.

    Once she picked up the line she stated that loan specialist was not available. I requested to speak with the manager but he was unavailable too, so I left my phone number with her and so far I have not herd anything yet. I really liked this bank up until now.

  13. Rude and unhelpful!

    Rude and unhelpful! The teller was unwilling to work with me to resolve a problem and did not communicate the reasoning. The manger wasn’t any better. She was very dismissive. I left unhappy.

  14. I would never advice putting money with them.

    I had two Roth accounts but they were paying next to nothing. So went down to the Belmont branch to get them out so that I could transfer to another credit union that was paying more then three times what Advantist was paying. I made three separate trips but never got my money.

    Was told I could not cash out my Roth accounts as I was not yet 59 1/2 (I can if I am willing to pay the penalty or reinvest within 30 days) I then got a large retirement payout but made sure I did not invest with Advantis as they had been so difficult.

    Finally, I had to have a financial investor get my Roth accounts closed out. They have been nothing but a pain to work with. I would never advice putting money with them.

  15. Bad Service

    they put me on hold for 25 minutes. then the person that answered put my on hold again. then when they came back they said let me transfer you. then the phone disconnected. i hate Advantis Credit Union for wasting my time on a very busy day for me. two thumbs down. : (
