Washington Federal Savings

Loan Service

Yikes! We did not choose Washington Federal Savings to mortgage our recently purchased home, our broker did and we trusted his recommendation.

Whereas there was a nice gentleman named Shane with whom we worked at WF, there was a “Senior Underwriter” (aka, old cranky bat) who I won’t identify by given moniker, but will say she was retaliatory and made our lives miserable throughout the loan approval process.

She included stipulations to our loan in the last few days (and the process had already been dragged out to the point where taking our business elsewhere would have been counterproductive) that were just uncalled for, unfair and unethical and we were stuck.

Providing the OCB (old cranky bat) with four original copies of our 4506-t tax forms was only the tip of the iceberg.

She screamed at me on the phone and was downright unprofessional when I had the misfortune of directly speaking with her.

Do not use WF for a mortgage loan. There are so many other options out there for your financial and lending needs.

We were a bit too trusting of our lender and naively put our faith in his advice.

Counting down the days until it makes financial sense to refinance with another institution.
