I just had an awful experience with Tax-Matters Org. Last week, I called Tax-Matters Org to request information and schedule an appointment for my taxes.

The woman answering the phone cut me off after I said two words. She rushed through the conversation and stated that they had raised their prices this year.

She then gave me a quick quote three times what I’ve ever paid.

She told me that she was going to the appointment because she didn’t have time for me.

Okay..???

I was surprised that my coworker had been coming to this location for some time and has paid the same amount every year.

But I cannot find information to determine if this company is right for me.

I decide to book the appointment even though I need my taxes done! I thought maybe they were swamped.

I thought that the pricing was incorrect, and I might get more information after meeting with the accountant.

I bring all my documents and come to the office with everything prepared. But, the woman behind the counter never booked my appointment.

I was often asked, “Are you sure you have an appointment ??”..?” Yes. Yes, I am there early on Saturday to get this service done.

Someone sits down with me and tells me she has an appointment in the hour. I can leave my information, and she will provide me with pricing and information.

I give her my basic information, and she laughs at me when I ask questions.

The price I get is twice that of my friend, but less than what I quoted by phone the week prior.

I completely get that taxes, background, and paperwork are different for everyone.

My coworker and I have similar situations. I’m confident I was offered a higher price to say no and then leave. That is exactly what I did.

I’d rather pay that much elsewhere that has it all and treats potential customers/clients with more respect.

I won’t be coming back, and I won’t recommend this area to anyone. It was frustrating, sad, and a waste.
