Wast of Time
Referred to Tax Advisory Group (Joyce Yarid) by a friend who had had good experiences.
Made appointment about 2 weeks in advance, but no instructions to prepare for tax preparation, nor a list of documents, was sent to me.
I figured it would be interview style as experienced in past with other tax preparers.
When I arrived on time, I waited ~ 8-10 minutes to meet with Joyce.
There was a little small talk about the referral, but no discussion about how we were going to work.
She asked for my W2s and past year’s tax copies.
Her tone indicated that she was rushed as she asked for additional numbers from the past year.
I had to bring up a number of deductions and questions about investments that she never addressed.
And, though I had a spreadsheet, and immediate access via my phone to the numbers needed, it seemed as though I wasn’t prepared the way she wanted.
Frustrated, she suggested that I just email the remaining numbers to her because I “was wasting time” during tax season and others were waiting.
We barely met for 20 minutes. (My previous tax preparer meetings were about an hour.) Shocked.
Took my documents back, found someone else.
I advise anyone who thinks of using this group pick someone else they DO not answer the fon you got to chase them up for your money they take there % plus Administration fees + tax on that my advise DO NOT USE

Had a cold call from a private number perporting to be Tax Advisory Group. Said I wasn’t interested in scams or cold calls guy on the phone got very angry and started shouting. I hung up. Less than 3 seconds later another withheld call – didn’t answer and no further calls since

Got a call from this scam company regarding hmrc tax rebate then they sent me a email with a docusign agreement but what they do is claim on your behalf and if you are owed anything then it will go to the tax advisory group as they act as the agent on your behalf with the premise that when they recieve the money from hmrc then they will keep it and will not send the money onto you !!!
Numerous phone calls to my phone with several pressured context regarding the fact that I have had a docusign email sent and I must sign and send it back as soon as possible they even wanted to stay on the phone with me while I sign the form …… SCAM

Yet again…no reply to my 4 emails not even a phone call…my cheque has been sent to one of these tax advisory groups by mistake why I don’t know.. so I take it they don’t look in to any of these complaints or remarks…M.Brady.
