  1. Stalvig Huffman is a Con artist

I am sharing a personal encounter with this man to help warn others. I do not want my name or email to be used to contact me but had to supply them in order to leave this account.
I met him through an online dating site where his contact was referred to me by another guy who said he had noticed my profile and picture and was interested. Stalvig soon was acting like he was very very interested in me which didn’t make sense to. He was so much younger and according to his picture very handsome. He referred to me as his sweetheart. We Skyped and I noticed his mouth not sinqing with the words he was saying over the audio. He was supposedly calling from New York where he was be interviewed for a huge contract to construct a highway. Then when his company won a $21 million contract in South Africa, he called and texted me a copy of the contract, saying how happy he was and that when it was over we could go on a vacation trip to Paris. I halfway believed him. My romantic heart wanted to believe but my critical executive mind suspected all was not truthful. When he arrived in Cape Town he called to say he had landed. The following morning he emailed me to say he had been robbed of 4 of his suitcases and the taxi driver had been shot 3 times and was in the hospital. The $7000 he had on him was gone and his credit cards, phone and computer were in the stolen luggage. He asked me to buy him a new laptop, an iPhone and camera, emailing me the exact models, saying he needed them to begin his work. When I replied that the US Embassy would help him and what about his bank, or business associates, he gave excuses why none of those options would work. I don’t know how he thought this poor 75 year woman living on a farm, driving a tractor from the 1980s would even consider handing over that kind of money. Furthermore this may be an old peasant woman, but I know enough to know that such a successful business man would have multiple avenues for support and not depend entirely on me. When I confronted him he denied the falsity of his claims, relying on the photocopy of his contract, the Skype conversation, and his call from the airport. These were stepping stones in his scam.
