South Jersey Federal Credit Union
The Loan ProcessWe took out a secured (with cash in an account with South Jersey Federal Credit Union) RV loan that was scheduled to have payments auto withdrawn from the cash securing the loan.
We received a call that we were 90 days past due. Like how did this happen!
We were never told that there had to be excess “free” cash in the secured account to make the payment.
So they turned us in to the credit bureaus as 90 days past due.
There was enough cash in the account to payoff the entire loan. So we did!
We had another loan with them at the same time.
They could never keep the loans straight and which payments went where so for the previous 3 months we personally asked if all our loans were fine and told yes by SJCU employees on more than 3 occasions.
We have attempted to work with Ryan and the Credit Union to no avail.
Their answer is you missed, too bad. NO ownership on their part what so ever.
I don’t know what else we could have done.
Even when checking with their own employees they didn’t understand this loan process.
I have never worked with someone who won’t listen to reasoning or common sense.
Bad Service Provide
That was the most cold non-personal answer I have ever received. You did not use my name nor thank me for my continued business. And then the condescending “Have a nice day.” Yea you basically said nope, too bad I can’t help you. So yea, I’m really going to have a NICE DAY now. Thanks for nothing.
Oh yeah, I do want to add that this has been done for me once a few years ago and recently within the past year or so I have heard more bad things then I ever had. I have NEVER had any complaints before and prior to this would give them 5 stars.
Scammer
I have used this bank for about 15 years now. I am extremely disappointed, not only with the answer I was given but the amount of time it took. I emailed on Friday 9/2 and then again on Tuesday 9/6. Granted there was a holiday factored in, but it is kind of frustrating when you are being told that you will be answered and I finally was today on 9/7.
I went into overdraft on Thurs 9/1 early in the morning due to an automatic debit. Later that same day my paycheck was deposited in. I even used some of the money of 9/1. I asked if they could waive the 30 fee as I had the money available the same day, but after 5. Just as a courtesy if nothing else.
