smpratte from E4 Efour

Recently I visited efour.proboards.com. I was immediately disgusted with what I saw. It was nothing but a bunch of grown men over the age of 25 attempting to have contact with younger people. I feel as though the older members of the forum, known as “professors”, were using the lure of rare pokemon cards in order to initiate conversations with younger people and build relationships with them. One member was a self proclaimed “king” of pokemon.. They seemed to boast large sums of cash and a massive collection of charizards. A more notable member has their own youtube channel in which they rackateer prices and interact with the younger crowd on a regular basis. The forum even has a link to a discord where they frequently debate “age gate” and similar topics.

In my opinion the forum is nothing more than grown men playing a children’s card game. Would you want your kids around grown men pretending to be cool, wealthy, and offering? I would assume not.

  1. I can tell you this.

Ive been watching that guy for years, probably 15+, our paths crossed when he was more active across multiple forums, everything above is right, but he is a bit of a con artist imo. He wags around these high priced cards, But their was once damning evidence that alot of what he had and his friends had was high quality fakes, i wont get into details about that, but its part of me being in Pokemon for 20+ years to, alot of the stuff he touts on ebay like the pikachu trophies and illustrator are high quality fakes or cards he may not own, the evidence? 15 years ago he had these same cards listed on ebay, Illustrator was marked at $20k, the 3 pikachu trophies was $20k for the set also. Everytime a buyer showed up or offered big money, we never hear anything afterward, so far the keep getting relisted at higher prices. Some of this crazy stuff has made mainstream news. Their was the lost card incident i believe was a scam for insurance money as well, that took place fairly recently. But the question is why is he doing this? Because for one he wants to stroke his epeen which he has done for several years, but the biggest reason is is it draws a magnet to his other auctions which is as far as i know, legit items he sells and ships. He wont what he either dont have or fakes as the fbi would be coming for him real quick. But thats my intake on him, i dunno about his friends, but they are into it as much as him, i dont know their backstories and what they do.
