Since moving to Columbus four years ago, John Siebert has been our tax accountant.
We were happy with his service up until now.
John completed our tax returns and those of our daughters in March.
Our refund was sent a few weeks ago, but our daughters have not yet arrived.
I checked the IRS website to see the status. They didn’t have any record of her filing a return.
The assistant informed me that an extension had been filed on my return. However, she did not know why.
John called me back. He was extremely brief with me and said, “it’s been submitted.”
He made many excuses when I asked him why but never once apologized.
I also inquired why we weren’t contacted when he made a mistake.
We wouldn’t imagine that the return would come any day.
No response. She will receive the return once it is processed.
While I am aware that some things happen, I would prefer a little professional courtesy.
We will need to find another tax accountant.
