Full Disclosure: My husband and I were approved for and closed our loan with Rowlett Mortgage Landing.
Our experience during the entire process is the basis for my review.
It was simple to apply. Once we received an offer, it was a good sign that things were going well.
Rowlett’s staff was rude, unprofessional, and lacked basic communication skills.
We reached out to clarify some details about our application and had to repeatedly ask the same question multiple times before we received a reply.
We emailed the office many times without receiving a response until we finally got our realtor involved or called several times.
Katherine was a horrible customer service rep and seemed to blame everyone for her company’s failures.
It was discovered that Rowlett made an error on our application, almost causing our entire application to be rejected. This had nothing to do either with us or the seller.
Her company failed to review the original listing and attached documents.
We were ready to leave her company at this point, but we had only five days to get out of our current home, so we continued cautiously.
Finally, the realtor and the seller’s agent intervened and demanded that the file be closed. Our loan was closed four days later.
Overall, I don’t recommend this company. The owner doesn’t appreciate her customers, and her staff follows her lead.
Katherine is known for blaming customers for bad experiences, which is unprofessional.
Rowlett doesn’t have these qualities.
