Not professional and very dishonest
My Client told me this story-
RCI Company offered a 7 night Cruise or resort stay in Mexico or the Caribbean. Payments were monthly instalments totalling a payment of $2798.92.
I booked my resort stay and paid an extra $99 US for change of date waiver.
When the time came to travel Covid 19 restricted travel out of my country as borders were closed. When I called RCI I was told that I had to use the waiver to make the change despite the fact that this change was as a direct consequence of a global pandemic which is out of my control. RCI did not see this at all or did not want to. It was a choice of losing $2798.92 or $99 US. I chose to lose the $99US.
When I tried to make the booking my certificate was canceled. When I got it revalidated I was only able to rebook a resort if I was willing to pay a minimum of $300+ US initially to $700 US+
I feel financially assaulted and abuse dby this company which has no regard for the hard work that earned the money they so easily want to snuff away from me.
It is appalling to say the least that they are permitted to continue in operation.
It is unfortunate that others would continue to fall victim to this vampire of a company.
RCI are like those diet drinks that say they will make you lose weight. All they are a nicely flavour sweet water with absolutely no weight loss benefits- IE A LIE.
