The Biggest Disappointment
I went in to RainCity, CPA PLLC to get my increasingly complex tax situation figured out.
I had a great initial consultation where it seemed like Jessica would be able to take care of my needs, and more than pay up for her fees in tax savings.
We came up with a clear plan of attack which included 1) filing an extension for the current year and 2) filling amendments for previous years.
Jessica completely failed to file the extension or amendments, missing the IRS deadlines, and ultimately costing me thousands of dollars.
I’m not sure how the ball was dropped on this one. I was leaving the country for over a month, so I emailed on 4/8 to confirm the work would be done.
I have a reply email from 4/11 where Jessica says: “I’ll file an extension and have that finished as soon as possible!”
Nothing was done. It is shocking and the biggest disappointment I have ever experienced with a professional service provider.
If you cannot trust a CPA to file a simple extension in a timely manner, I’m not sure you can trust them with anything.
