Puppyfind.com

Sent me another breed. Puppfyfind.com cheated me of $1000.

My sister wanted a dog for herself. I am not that fan of getting a pet at home. However, she insisted and I gave up and we ended our search with Puppyfind.com. We went online and this website named puppyfind.com clearly mentioned that we would find the best breed we were looking for.

She with her friend decided about a breed to bring home and they talked with someone from Puppy Find. I had a talk with them and asked them why they kept their name puppy find and not puppy buy. Their name was so confusing, it almost makes someone think that such a website is for finding a lost puppy! Their representative said that it was because of the unavailability of the domain name. Anyways, that is just to show how inappropriate their first impression was on me. I asked them about their business, how it happened, and the ins and outs, just to know what kind of people were they. They appeared kind. They informed me that they’d started a chain sort of thing.

By keeping in constant contact with other enterprises like them, they kept a record, a sort of database of dogs that were sold. They were also in contact with dog spas in the town. And were aware about the pets in the town. So, whenever someone wanted to sell a dog, they reached out to puppyfind.com and were listed. I asked them a simple question,” how could the buyers trust them on the dog?” To which they had no answer. The representative almost stammered while giving this answer and told that he would make us talk with the manager. I didn’t want to talk with the manager but then the manager was insisting and I didn’t mean to disrespect. The manager was a very insisting and bragging person.

He started with the same story that I had already heard from the assistant. He even bragged how puppyfind was more efficient than the government. And how he and his partner had started this business out of their personal love for dogs. Finally, when he asked me to ask the question that I had, I lacked time to talk and so I said I would get back to him. Couple of days passed and I enquired in two more stores like puppyfind to find out what they did and how they did. A little bit of market research, you know!

Comes out that the story was all the same. All of them seemed to be dubious when it came to the same question and they stammered or rather fumbled in giving me a simple answer. I get a call from puppyfind.com to continue the talk. This time it was both, the manager and the assistant. The manager offered me a special discount. He said that because he was unable to answer my question nicely, his company decided to offer me a special scheme. He said that the dogs that are listed on the website for $500 would be offered to me at $400. And the dogs that are listed at $1500, would be made available to me for $1000. I thought I had succeeded in my attempt to negotiate and had convinced the manager and his assistance. I asked my sister to go and figure out which dog did she wish to have and that I would take care of the funds.

She came up with the dog that was listed at $1500. I called the manager to inform what her decision was. When I called to say that it was the dog that was listed at $1500, he confidently said that it was fine with him and that the dog would be delivered to us within a week. A week passed and I got a call from their assistant informing me that the dog that I had chosen was given to someone else and that I had to choose another dog. I asked the reason for this awkward re-choosing. To which the assistant responded by saying that the manager would get to me on this. A day later, manager called me to inform that he was out of the town when he made the deal and because of that he was some hours late to inform the assistant about the dog’s purchase due to which he had sold the dog to some other customer.

I was satisfied by the answer because it looked genuine and so I asked my sister to choose some other dog. She came up with another, $1500 listed on. At first she didn’t wish to switch so easily but then when I informed her of the special discount which was made available to us, she was happy. Another dog and before purchasing that, I re-negotiate the deal and ask the manager to compensate a little because he couldn’t offer the first choice, because of his mistake. At first he denied, but when I started the talk to cancel the deal, he agreed on a $100 lesser. He said the dog would be delivered to us within 3 days. The dog arrived and I asked my sister if she was satisfied with the deal. And, if she received the same dog as selected or not.

She came crying to me and said that if I didn’t wish to buy her the same dog that she wished for didn’t wish to have any other. I was so angry on hearing this that I called puppyfind.com to ask what the matter had been. I wanted to ensure that there hadn’t been any confusion as such my sister was saying. They said that they had sent the same dog which was chosen. My sister said that they had sent someone else. When I reached out to the dog and the photograph on the basis of which he was chosen, it seemed to me that the people of puppyfind.com were trying to act smarter than needed. The photograph seemed to be of a different breed dog and the actual puppy was of some other breed.

For making sure that there wasn’t any confusion from our end, we also sent them some photographs of the dogs received. But then when the manager ignored my phone by texting me that he was out of the town, was when I got skeptical about the fact that he must’ve been doing this intentionally. We got this confusion checked out from similar stores like puppyfind.com and the revelation was shocking. Turns out that puppyfind.com has no database or collection of dogs on their own. They just upload photographs of dogs which they get from people who wish to tell the dogs out.

This was the fact that wasn’t told to us in the manner it should have. The other person whom we met at the store had tried to buy from puppyfind.com and he was cheated. Some stray dog was sold to him in the name of a dog that was “pet of the manager,” himself. And in the name of that $2000 was taken from him. He found it later from the local area police that he didn’t have the correct papers of adoption. They had tricked him similarly as they had did to me. In the name of photos, some other dog’s photos were sent to him which were completely different than the dog’s photographs.

I was very worried and so I called the assistant to inform that I would like to talk to the manager as soon as possible and that there had been definitely some problem because of which I would like to cancel the deal. He said that the manager would definitely get back to me. I waited for 7 days, nothing happened. After the 7th day I called the manager from my phone, he didn’t pick up. I called him from my sister’s phone, the number which he didn’t have and he picked up. I asked my sister to talk to him like an unknown customer, he was pretty comfortable. And as soon as my sister mentioned our case, he hung up. Months have been passed now and nothing is happening. We have decided to file a case against them. Because what we’ve received by paying $900 is definitely what we wanted. This is some ill-treated dog, probably a street puppy is sold by puppyfind.com.

Please beware of such practices that happen in the name of finding you a correct puppy. They cheat you by sending you the photographs of some other dog and send you some other dog in real. This is completely unacceptable. They should have provided us the right information. Maybe, we had agreed to the deal. They just wanted to take our money. I may not know much about dogs. But I do know is that the business is based on trust. This company broke that all. They did not follow the protocol and cheated us with whatever they had. Do not ever look up to puppyfind.com. They are ripoff.
